Since there are those who feel it is cute and necessary to dispute and mock God's Word openly in a forum dedicated to a "DEEPER FELLOWSHIP" and will clearly be allowed to continue that disruptive behaviour, God will not bless this Forum. I am sorry to see it destroyed by ego's, when it could have been such a lovely place to learn and grow.

Arguing and debate have no place in this forum, and is completely uncalled for and unjustified, and I want no part of it.

Gerry, no one is disputing God's Word. People are discussing what it means to them. Not all of us know for sure what God means; some of us are still learning, and will still be learning when He calls us home. So, for us, discussing and exploring *possible* meanings is part of fellowship.

For me, exploring the possible meanings, and trying to reconcile them with the rest of the Bible, is one of the most joyful parts of Christian fellowship.

When I read the Bible, God doesn't lead me by the nose to the exact interpretation He wants. I don't know why this is; maybe I'm just naturally defective. Maybe I'm the one who's right, and He's really unhappy about all the people who are certain and confident about everything they think. I don't know.

But, for me at least, fellowship includes discussion of contrasting points of view, and considering alternatives, and involves mostly people who *don't* know everything already.

Maybe we need two of these forums; one for people who already know, one for people who are still working it out.

A point for consideration:

How many people here would look at a post talking about how wonderful it is that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist, and that it's not symbolic or anything, and not feel a little threatened? Would some of you maybe want to dispute that point?

It's very hard to have a discussion of much of the Christian faith without running into things where we honestly come to disagree.

The most amazing thing I've come to know about my God, is that He has everything within His control. Even when you think a mock is a mock, someone else may be looking at your post or someone elses post and seeing something there that we don't see Gerry.

Continue to keep your the Spirit up Gerry, God doesn't punish nor bless forums, God blesses those in the forums with the Heart for Him and for those who seek His will. God uses these forums just like all the other forums out there, through ways that we'll have no possible idea of knowing how until our time comes to meet our Maker.

Why explore possible meanings when we have been promised the Gift of the Holy Spirit to teach us the truth?

Psalms 4:2
O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? How long will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood?

1 John 2:26-27
These things have I written unto you concerning them that would lead you astray. And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you; concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him

that may also be the Holy Spirit working in him, we can't say for sure what happens between a man and God, as no one can possibly know everything about this and that individual.
