Vent system for those of us with Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder for me has been a blessing and curse. Blessing in the way that I can better understand my dad who is bipolar as well and I can relate to anybody with my disorder. Curse because I have hurt so many people because of a meltdown, rage, or anything else that happens when my bipolar kicks in. I sometimes wish it would go away because I feel like a pile of junk when I lash out, but then I remember that "God don't make junk". God has a purpose for me, I just need his help in finding it.

I'm on meds now, and they seem to be helping but need tweaking.. Feel like I'm on the right path tho. And true God don't make junk!

I'm finally on the right dosage of meds, and it helps a lot. People sometimes say, "you don't need meds, you just need God." That is not true for me because if I'm not on my meds, I don't feel motivated to do the right thing and rely on God. It's really hard to explain haha, but yeah, meds help, and I'm glad they're helping

I'm in the same boat, and my bipolar is comorbid with borderline, so I'm naturally prone to the same kind of emotional volatility. It takes a lot of work to maintain the physical (meds) and spiritual (prayer) equilibrium to keep yourself stable. I'm glad to hear that you're on an effective dosage of meds: the hard part is practically over at this point!

Yeah, I haven't had an outburst in about three months. I've been to my psychiatrist since then, and now im regulated

I attribute a lot of it to prayer though.

Yep, that can't be understated. Like I said, it's a delicate but necessary balance between medication and prayer to maintain stability. I honestly can't function without one or the other.

I have borderline personality disorder as well.

so frustrating

sometimes I get stressed in past couple of months
i have agoraphobia but not sure if and what else I may have
