Veiling sacred images on Maundy Thursday

In most parishes I visited today, sacred images were covered in purple clothes. Should I do the same with the images in my house, or is this not required?

Thanks! I thought I had to do likewise. It would have implied taking a few pictures of saints and Jesus off my walls.

No problem. You do not have to do it because some Churches do. Some people take swaths of purple cloth & drape it over their holy reminders but it is strictly voluntary.
