CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dance Me to the End of Love
I was born in Burnaby...lived there for 2 years. Then my family moved to North Delta where I lived 6 years before moving where I do now. I have lots of family that lives in Vancouver. All of my dad's brothers live in the lower main land. Like in Surrey, Richmond...and Vancouver. My mom's family lives in Vancouver as well...most of them do...one of my mom's sisters lives about a 10 mintue walk from Robson St. so I always go there every summer and stay in her appartment and go shopping. Her appartment is SO nice!!! It's right near the Cambie St. bridge...and you can see Science World from her appartment...that is like a 15 minute walk.

Hey! Not a Vancouverite and happy for it, but I DO live on the Sunshine Coast in the middle of nowhere. My brother lived in Vancouver until a few weeks ago so I used to go see him once a month. Would love to see the Canucks go again this year!

It means that after a lifetime of living as an urbanite, I have discovered that I am truly a backwoods hick at heart.
Just pushin' your buttons love, don't mind me. Vancouver is great fun- I love to visit. I go to Coastal Church when I'm in town. It's right downtown, a very young and rockin' church, you'd probably like it.

It's at 1160 West Georgia Street. I really feel the Spirit when I"m there. The Pastors really challenge the congregation. There is a big concert there on Aug. 30th. The hip hop group CrossMovement will be there as well as a couple of other bands. They also have Saturday night church geared toward youth. IF I lived in Vancouver I would be at this church every day. No kidding. Check it out. Pastor Allan is the one I know the best though Pastor Dave is the main man. Have fun!

Hi! I'm not originally from Vancouver but I live there. It's nice, but it is kind of strange being this far from home. There are really not too many churches in Vancouver, as most of the population is non-Christian. It's a nice city, but all the fire, rain and the lack of snow bugs me. I would rather live in Ohio, with nice snowy winters and warm summers.

Vancouverite here!!! 
I now live out in the east coast of the USA (Jersey), but will always be a west coast lifer at heart! 
Actually, I'm in town visiting my family and some friends - I flew in last Saturday and will be here until Sept. 3. This friday I'm hanging out in downtown with some friends...gonna order out some Stepho's greek food, eat at sunset beach and then walk around denman street!!!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!!

The only reason I was ever a leafs fan was because cbc played every darn game of theirs........but now i have come to the light..heh, heh, and now I see that the Canucks are the only way to go!!!!!!!!!!!
