My guy friends said it had no plot, but it did, and it talked about how evil can become good in the long wrong. Hugh Jackman played a great role in this movie, and Is it me or is He forever plying Wolf caractersIt was more like blade in the fighting, but more like indiana jones in the action, and flying around, and the crazy moves Hugh jackman does in the movie.
Another thing. If you guys saw the first mummy movie. You remember the guy at the beging that was Brendon Frasiers friend? Who cheated him out, and ran away in the beging at the fight scene?
Well the guy that played Igor in Van helsing. It was the same guy![]()

The graphics were about the only thing good in it, the acting was at least somewhat good. The main issues were with the poor plot, attempts at reworking the ideas of old into something new didn't work out too well. The history of it was thrown around a bit much and the point to it all was vague at best.
All in all, better than Hulk in movie standards, not quite as good as Hellboy. Just a general idea of where it lays.

that was driving me nuts trying to figure out where I'd seen him before.Ah! lol When I first heard the guy talk, I leaned over to my husband and told him that I KNEW that guy, but I couldn't place him. It's good to see what it was that poked me in the brain about that guy. lolWell the guy that played Igor in Van helsing. It was the same guy![]()
Yeah, I love pointing that out to people. There reactions are funny. Yeah I was kinda upset she died. So was my dad, but he thought she was hot. -_- There was a sex scene???Jenna said:Ah! lol When I first heard the guy talk, I leaned over to my husband and told him that I KNEW that guy, but I couldn't place him. All in all, I liked the movie, but there were some things that bothered me about it. I wish that they had done some more explaining about Gabriel, his relation to God, and his relation with Dracula. The acting of Dracula left a good deal to be desired by myself, but basically because he didn't strike me as intimidating at all. I really just wanted Van Helsing to hit him with a fly swatter of something. I liked the action scenes and the all, though at the same time my mind was rejecting them like crazy. lol Of course, that happens every time I watch a fantasy movie when someone falls from a few stories and gets up like nothing happened. I liked Kate's character for the most part, but my view is colored because I liked her so much in Underworld. lol As for her character's death, it didn't bother me too much. I can understand that a werewolf could have easily broken her in two, but it was ironic after her having taken such beatings through the rest of the movie. Oh, and like the others, I think that the sex scene with the friar was just unnessesary and didn't further the movie at all.
All in all, it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it was far from the worst. It was entertaining, and that's what I paid for.![]()
