  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I've been known to repeatedly and loudly say something mysterious and oblique such as "I don't celebrate Valentine's Day. Not for you, not for anybody. If the survival of the entire human race hinged exclusively upon my willingness to celebrate Valentine's Day, the human race had better get ready to greet extinction".

How is it then that women can hear that and immediately assume "oh, that was his policy for his EX-girlfriends; it'll be different for ME"?

Since we aren't mind readers, why don't you ask them yourself?

Well, IMO,

They think the reason you're against it or never celebrated before is because you weren't with the right person.

Since they are with you now, they probably consider themselves the right person.

Therefore, they expect you to celebrate with them.

That being said, I can't speak for them. So maybe I'm wrong and they all have their own reasons.

But as a woman that would be my thinking on the subject.
