CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Urban meaning club dancing? Or street dancing? Im not sure what type of dancing you mean.

club dancin could be anything. I mean hiphop dancin , streert dancin , ghetto dancin or black dancin

I dont see anything wrong with it. . .unless it become sexually suggestive. But thats with any kind of dancing. A lot of kids at my church do urban dancing for the congregation during special youth orientated sundays. Its cool to see!

Well African dance isn't quite american-african-urban-dance, it has things in comon - bent knees, contractions in the chest, sholdures that do circles, etc. but it still keeps a very traditional, "arcaic" side to it. It's really popular here in France, and I was wondering how familiar all the urban dancers are with african dance. (It's main characteristic - knees bent, torso bent over, symetirical movements, and the beat created by symetrical beating of your feet)

African American dancing has its roots from Africa. . as it was passed down from generations..however, now-a-days, most black kids simply make up new moves. Yet in America, you wouldnt necessarily call it black dancing. It is just dancing...all the kids dance that way. .
