I want to first off, Thank all of you who kept my Papa and our family in your prayers. THANK YOU!
Here is an update. The following is an E-mail my Aunt sent me.....Thank you for remembering us.
Email from my Aunt Mary;
Papa is doing pretty good today. As of this morning this is what is going on.
Monday he will have 1 maybe 2 new leads added to his defibulator (attached to pacemaker) to help his heart pump. They thought about doing a cathader(?spelling) but the risk is higher than the reward so that will not be happening. As of this morning he will not have a shunt put in and dialysis, kidneys seem to be responding to medication and his blood pressure is stable.
He is doing much better now that he is out of the VA hospital and if all goes well Monday he maybe able to go home as soon as Wednesday. He gave us a pretty good scare, but as soon as he was moved to Ruby Memorial Hospital and into a private room he started to respond. I usually give him a short call daily to lift his spirits, feel free to call him. Sometimes he gets real tired and takes a bit to respond but don't worry about that.
We hope if all goes well he can fly out to CA for his 70th. birthday at Aunt Theresa's. (end of email) He isn't out of the clear yet. He still has other health problems that I talked about in my other post. I you all can Please keep him in your prayers. Thank you.
Love,
Stephanie
