  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

i want to thank God for giving me the strength and courage to rescue my cat, Loop, out of our pecan tree this last weekend...he had gotten out and we hadn't seen him for a day and a half...he's been on antibiotics for the last week because he had been in a fight (he's always finding trouble!) and hadn't eaten so he was pretty weak...he must have been 100 ft up in the tree so i called the fire department - yeah, i really did...but the man told me too many firefighters were getting hurt doing things like that...my poor cat was crying and just looked so helpless so i climbed the tree myself...i had no problem getting up but as soon as i got my hands on him (that took a little too long - it had gotten dark while i was in the tree) i couldn't move...i just froze and was too scared to do anything...

thank God for the people around me that helped me get out of the tree safely...bless their hearts that they cared enough to help me and my poor kitty...
