  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Untried Faith (Part 2)

:) Sometimes faith has to be as the blind and dumb. Meaning that there are times that you are standing on God’s word for something and you must stand at all cost. You cannot let what you see, hear, or think stop your faith. You stand, faith believing for what you are praying for.

Sometimes you will feel like a trout going up-stream in a river. The bulk of the people around are going one way and you are standing by faith till the end. They can all turn and you will still be standing.

Faith like that gets things done. Sometimes God will require you to fast to increase your faith for what you believing for.

God will test you (not temp you) along the way to see what your faith is really made of. After these tests your faith will increase so that you will see more completed prayers answered “yes”.

Living by faith is an adventure that is well rewarded. You know that God is because He has answered your particular prayer. You know that He listens to you and hears you. What a comfort that is.

This part about knowing God IS...that He listens to US...that He sees and hears us...this is so wonderful. Because He is what we are really after anyway...knowing more of Him and fellow shipping with Him. And He "wants" us to know Him...to grow in the grace and knowledge of Him...of God. That is what eternal life is all about...knowing Him.

I have done much fasting these last few months... not always by choice...but it has been fasting and "much" has happened. My faith is increased and bars of iron have broken loose in my spirit.
