Unlimited 08 - Stop The Traffik

Just got back from the second night of the Unlimited conference in Brisbane. It was awesome. I thought Colin was going to preach all night but he only preached 15 mins the entire conference. It was still a great night though lots of worship.

I have to say I realised today that I'm no longer broken - I've definitely moved forward from last year's conference and that's awesome.

I found the Stop the Traffik thing really challenging and would really like to do something. Going to try and get youth group to do a church service on it one night, and also want to do something for uni on it.

Anyway any of you gone to unlimited this year? What do you think God spoke to you about?

O I think I will get two words out of the whole thing. Two words the Christian church needs to remember.

Salvation. Others.

At our church we have me, amanda & richard who are really passionate about the 'stop the traffik' movement.
I hope that your able to spred the news you've heard around. to your youth & friends like we can down here.

We are well aware of it here in Cornwall, there have been trafficked women found in our nearest market town working in the sex trade.

It would've been nice to go as I could really do with a boost at the moment although if I had gone I would probably be on the tech team anyway and miss most of the talks.

I haven't been to any of those. I actually came across Stop the Traffik a few months ago from watching an Oprah Winfrey show! LOL

So I did some research and found the Salvation Army supports it which is awesome. I decided I was going to raise money, so I am making greeting cards to sell and send all the money to them.

Turns out our church has also become a huge part of it, and our women's ministry is having a speaker come and share with us next month!
