Hi all
I have been unemployedfor a bit more than 10 months, during this time my savewings has dissapeared, and i am dep in debt.
i have not taken any government money as God Almighty is my provider, not Pharaoh,
ther is an oppertunity at the local hosiptal, in my field (I am a cook), not only will this job provid decent pay, benifits, hourse, etc, etc, etc, but it also would bring an oppertunity for much ministry to the sick and the unsaved.
please pray for favor and grace on my behalf.
more imoportant however is that you pray as The Holy Spirit leads you to
thanks
Barry K.
This means that you haven't been receiving unemployment either? I know that your beliefs are what they are, but are you sure that there's nothing wrong with receiving any kind of help from the government if it's available? God can still be your provider even if you're receiving government help. At least it's better than being in debt to someone else.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm right about this, but in the bible if you couldn't pay off your debt then wouldn't that mean you would be your loan maker's slave - that someone else could literally own you through your debt? Although, these days you can't set up your own freedom as collateral, you can still say that someone "owns" you in a metaphorical sense through your debt. Who is really your pharaoh in this situation, the government or those you owe money to?
I know that I don't have much room to judge or anything, considering I owe student loans myself. I'm just saying that the government isn't the only "pharaoh" you have to watch out for, and it might be better to rely on them than to rely on banks.
However, this is just my opinion and you're welcome to ignore it if you believe that I'm wrong. But, sometimes it's not always so easy to remain self-reliant when the situations don't give you the means to do it. Sometimes you don't have any choice but to make debt or to rely on someone else's help.
In any case, I'll pray for you because I do want you to get a job. Not only because I think that it's my obligation to God that I care about you and pray for you, but because I would feel more secure for myself to know that you're doing better. Hearing bad news about people's lives disturbs me because it makes me worry for myself as well. But, if I hear that someone who was without a job for months has found a job, then it gives me hope for myself.
So, I do hope that you find a job and that you report back to us so that I can that you're doing fine. As selfish of a request as this might be, it would also remind me that God listens to our prayers. So, I have already and plan to do so in the future, pray that your job prospect at a local hospital will work out, provided that this what God has planned for you.
The most immediate need that needs to filled for you is that you have the means to survive on your own, without anyone's help. If God views you fit to lead others into having a relationship with Him, then I pray that He puts you in this job so that you will minister to those who are lost. But, if God doesn't then I pray that you only go to your next job to work since He knows that you need to work in order to live by your own means.
