Just read through the CO forum.

Where they can't be corrected, creationists call evolutionists "liars" and "scoffers"

These are unfounded allegations, and I hereby accuse the creationists making them of bearing false witness (contrary to the 10 commandments) and being underhand in making them where evolutionists cannot defend themselves.

For shame.

My respect for creationists has plummetted since the CO forum started and I started to observe how freely they insult the integrity of honest working scientists where no-one can pull them up on it.

I challenge, therefore, the creationists to list actual documentable lies told by evolutionists. I've defended my accusation that creationists lie by documenting their lies; do the same or stop making the allegation. It disgusts me that creationists sink this low.

I'd like to add here - YEC's should not mock you, call you liars. Lying is an intentional activity.

YEC's, don't accuse Darwinists of liars unless you have absolute proof that they knew what they were saying was wrong.

As for scoffers:

To mock at or treat with derision.

I've seen both sides do that, time upon time again. The label applies equally to Darwinists as it does to YEC's.

Tyreth - I've seen your thread in CO and I'm impressed.

When we're called 'scoffers', I think it's trying to associate us with the unbelievers called this in 2 Peter 3, and that's what I find particularly insulting.

Looking through the posts, I believe mhess13 is the only one who repeatedly insults TEs by calling us scoffers. At least, no other person has used the word scoffer (quoting him doesn't count) from a quick search under Origins Theology and its subforums.

And based on what he's said in the past, and what he put in his signature, Karl is right about the implication behind the usage of "scoffer"
