  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Brethen in Christ, God give you Peace.

I hate asking for prayers for myself and my family. We are so truly blessed by God in so many ways and should spend more time thanking Him than asking Him for more. But lately my wife and I feel we have been under a full scale assault by Satan. I suspect much of it comes from my wife's acceptance of her role as an intercessor, which I am sure Satan greatly hates.

Anyway, things are rough. I know that Satan will lose and both of us take great joy in imagining him seething in anger each time we call upon God, our Blessed Mother, the Saints and angels to aid us, but the fight is definitely on.

So please say a quick prayer for our perseverance and fortitude as we endure the attacks.

Always remember that Jesus tells us the He has already conquered the world!! We have already one- we need only to remember to throw ourselves in our Saviour's arms and let Him save us! Though the storm rages- only a word from Him can calm the storm-- remember HE is often just sleeping in our little boat as the tempest churns- but as HE is right there with us we have nothing to fear!!
