The U.S. should not attempt to Blackmail the U.N. because it provides a significent portion of the U.N. budget. If it wants to create change it should go through proper channels.

The UN is free to leave anytime it wants. The US should cut its funding about 99%. Maybe the UN will then move to Canada. Let Canada support them for awhile. I say the UN should move. Move anywhere but move out of the US.

This attitude is what is necessary to have more and more people detest the USA and cheer on any terrorist strike coming the USA way! Not to mention it is a great way to show the world what is wrong with Christianity!

It's simply makes sense to do what someone says if you want that someone's money, especially if that someone provides a sizeable percentage of your budget.

If you don't take that someone's advice and they decline to give you money, tough noogies.

After the U.S. has moved to Canada, or Switzerland, or whereever — the other countries should take a vote:

- whether or not to allow the U.S. to remain on the Security Council (I would vote "no")
- whether or not George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleeza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld should be indicted as war criminals and required to stand trial for war crimes at the World Court (I would vote "yes")
- whether or not to allow other countries to seize and arrest George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleeza Rick and Donald Rumsfeld should said people arrive in countries which have voted "yes" on the war crimes resolution
- whether or not the other countries should invoke economic sanctions against the U.S. for its actions in Iraq, Iran, Venezuela, Chile, and other countries (I would vote "yes").

What does this have to do with the USA not paying what it owes? You said that since the USA pays more than its "fair share" then they should have a proportional say in matters. I pointed out that the concept of "might makes right" is not acceptable, to say the least.

On a more serious note, it only makes sense that the US would have such a strong voice in UN affairs.

How about this: The value of the vote of each of the members of the house of represntatives will be according to the amount of taxes his constituents pay. So the votes from rich comunities will be worth more than those from poor communities. Same thing, innit?
