The U.S. military launched airstrikes against Iranian-backed militias in Syria in retaliation for drone attacks, the Pentagon announced Sunday evening.

The strikes targeted sites that been used to launch drone attacks on U.S. personnel and facilities in Iraq, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said in a statement

This is one area where there seems to be a lot of continuity among administrations, tho I dont think an all out war is likely.

Trump is no longer in power. You should not expect Syrian Shiite forces firing on U.S. military personnel to escape retaliation. The Syrians wanted to attack ... what happened to them afterwards is their own fault.
