I was looking through the CBD catalogue, and noticed they have the Tyndale Bible on sale for only $29.99. This is a 1526 facsimile edition, with exact replica printing, clear legible type, and original illustrations.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience reading this particular version of the Bible, and what comments you would have regarding any problems, inaccuracies, etc.

I don't want to waste my money on a Bible that I will not want to read! Please share your comments. Thanks.

If you want a Tyndale for actual reading, rather than antiquarian interest, there is one available in paperback (or there was). The Tyndale is of historic interest, on occasion more modern sounding and down-to-earth than some NTs that followed in the century or so after him. Scholarship has moved on a lot since all of them, so it's not a translation for accurate study. But then, to a scholar, no translation is.
