There is no truth in a God who seeks the destruction of a world.

How could Jesus be king of the earth if, who rules this world, is the prince of the power of the air? That makes Jesus nothing more than a thief.

Burning in hell and viewing the unseen.

If you are speaking of the apocalypse, well... There are a lot of ideas behind that.

If you are talking about general destruction and chaos in the world you have to understand that a lot of it goes back to the notion of the fair judgment that we will receive under God, all of us receiving our proper do. God would not commit an injustice.

Being that this life is finite and the next infinite, the things which we suffer in this world are nothing in the longer run of things.

I think that we will not necessarily die off. Whatever happens is the will of God. There is a good chance that His Kingdom will come to Earth in His Name, though it is entirely inappropriate for us to try to predict as much and to carry on as if it is to happen. As Christ says, we should not worry about the murmurs of the end of times. We need to just exist and live our lives.

Speculation about the future becomes worthless quickly.

Dear TheDarkOverLord. The World belongs to God, He created everything. The prince of the world is Satan, because he has usurped Earth by evil and crafty manipulation. but there is truth in a God who seeks the destruction of sin / establishment of justice

Jesus is King because He has conquered the power os SIN, DEATH, and the DEVIL with His death on the cross and resurrection from the tomb

HOWEVER, the final defeat of the physical person of SIN and DEATH who is the DEVIL is a future event

I don't know a single parent who seeks to punish their children, but they still will. In the end, it is the same with God. He doesn't want to destroy the world, but He doesn't want us to continue in the evil even more.

Oh, and as of right now, Jesus isn't the king of the earth. He will be one day, and He was once. As for right now, the true thief sits on the throne, Satan.

God has abilities that parents do not. Parents don't have the power to create children as they see fit.

God created men with flaws. You're basically saying that God is going to destroy the world becuase men have flaws (with which he created them).

Do you see the problem here?

If that was the problem it would be a problem

however, God did NOT create men with flaws

He created man to love Him
and as in any loving relationship (like parent and child) true love does not rule by command and control
but by compassion and conviction

command is tyranny
compassion is democracy

we can choose to serve God (with all that implies) or we can choose to walk away (with all that implies)

either way - you can be what God made you to be or you can be what You made you to be

It might be just me, but I don't think the bible says anything about literally blowing up the earth, I know it says the meek will inherit the earth, so it must exist after the Judgment day or the meek would be as meek as ever, only without a home.

In all reality the second coming liberates the world, the world will no longer be a haven of sin in the 1000 year reign of Jesus on earth. Satan and his fallen angels will be thrown in the the lake of fire, where they will suffer for eternity as they have so eagerly and constantly attempted to make all that is good in the world suffer. The end of the world will finally end persecution, hate, lust, violence, and sin in itself once and for all.

2 Peter 3

How come Jesus only reigns for 1000 years? What happens after that? I don't know if you realize, but 1000 years is a lot shorter than eternity.

And personally, while I'm not a big fan of persecution or violence, I do kind of like lust and hate has its uses as well.

Isn't the ability to "walk away from God" a flaw?
If it isn't, then is "walking away from God" beneficial?
