  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The first one is an unspoken, but it is huge in my life right now and I just need some prayers for strength and faith.

The second one is that my husband is going HANGGLIDING on Monday - yes, crazy enough to jump off a mountain attatched to a huge kite - and so naturally I would really appreciate prayers for his safety.

I am praying that God will grant you strength and faith. I am praying that God will keep your husband safe and let him land his feet safely on the ground. Even though it does sound like fun. Wish I could do it.
God strengthen this lady and increase her faith. Strengthen her during the trial she is going through. God keep her husband safe as he goes hangglidding. Keep him safe and return him safely back to her.

Lord thank You for the opportunity to meet and pray for this couple. I thank you for this young woman's sense of humor, and praise You for showing me this side of You I can see in her. What a treasure she has blessed me with. What joy to see You smile and hear You laugh. In Jesus name I pray Amen and Amen

Thank you all again! Jordan did not end up getting to go yesterday (the winds were too strong) and may go Thursday or some time next week, so please continue to remember him.

And the situation surrounding my unspoken request is getting so much better every day. It's a spiritual battle I'm having - there is a fight trying to tear me away from God and I just need continued strength to fight back against that . . . but since I posted this and my husband and I started praying together about it everything has gotten much better. I would not leave God but it feels as if Satan is doing everything in his power to try and tear me away . . . but he is fighting a losing battle because we have better support!
