  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

First of all, please pray for my Aunt. She has been in the hospital since early this week. She fell and hurt herself and she kept hurting so badly that they took her to the doctor. Upon running some tests, the doctor found that she has an infection built up inside her and that she is anemic so he admitted her into the hospital. Friday morning, her heart stopped. There was a doctor and a nurse in the room when it happened so they were able to revive her right away. Since then, they have ran more tests and have discovered that she has pressure on her brain from her infection somehow. She has a host of other health problems. She has had an aneurism on her heart for quite some time and she has diabetes which has affected her eyesight and kidneys. Please pray for my Aunt's healing and for peace of mind for her and our family. I've already seen God working in this situation. The fall was a blessing in disguise because if she hadn't fell and hurt herself they would've never taken her to the doctor and the infection that she didn't know she had could've killed her. When her heart stopped, a doctor and nurse were right in the room. I believe they were placed there by God. Just pray that God would continue to work in this situation and bring her to complete recovery.

Also, yesterday our car quit working for some reason. We thought at first that maybe it was the battery but we charged it up and the car still doesn't work. We're not sure exactly what it is. We're having it looked at tomorrow. Please pray that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fix.

I will be praying for your aunt and for your situation with the car. God works in mysterious ways and I know He hears and answers prayers. My heart stopped twice on May 30th and I was revived both times, once by the paramedics and once after arriving at the ER. He puts people in our paths and everything happens for a reason. God bless you and I will keep the entire family raised up in prayer.

Any updates on her condition?

My mom called me this morning and told me that they found out the infection she has is Lysteria. Also, they have put a temporary pacemaker in her. She is supposed to get a permanent one in a couple days. They said she could die during surgery. They can't put her completely out under anesthesia for the surgery because they are afraid that she'll die. My cousin, her son, is also being tested for Lysteria because he is apparently showing some symptoms.

We found out that the starter is out on our car. It is going to be fixed tomorrow.

Thanks for your prayers everyone. Keep them coming.

Update:

My Aunt was supposed to have the surgery today but her potassium was too high. They've rescheduled the surgery for Monday.

My husband showed me the bill from getting our starter on our car repaired. The list price for the starter was $245.75 but the mechanic knows that we're not loaded so he only charged us $134.99 for it, which was the price he paid for it. Labor charges were $80.00 and our total bill was $225.33. He saved us $110.76 by only charging us what he paid for the starter and not marking it up like he could have. God is good.

Update:

My Aunt was getting dialysis, because her diabetes has affected her kidneys so badly, to help bring down her potassium level because her potassium was too high on Friday to have the pacemaker put in. Somehow the dialysis has made her heart go out of rhythm and now they are giving her heart shock treatments with some kind of shock paddle device to get her heart back into rhythm so she can have the pacemaker put in. I don't know how the dialysis made her heart go out of rhythm but that's what my mom told me. My mom is hysterical and I don't know what to do to comfort her. She lives in Illinois and I live in Missouri and I can't take the trip right now. I told her I'd pray and that God brought my Aunt this far when she could have died when her heart stopped but a doctor and nurse were right in there and God had to have placed them there so I don't think God would have saved her then just for her to die a week later. Please keep praying.

My Aunt had the pacemaker put in today. They said they think she's gonna be fine. They wanted to also do some kind of procedure to help her congestive heart failure but decided to do it at a later date. She's out of the woods now. Praise God! Thanks for your prayers. Prayer works.
