Two Houses

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain came down and the rivers came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it did not collapse, because its foundation was laid on the rock.
And everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand, without a foundation. And the rain came down and the rivers came and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed, and its fall was great!” - Jesus Christ

There is so much Truth in this little passage. God knows His creation better than anyone He made, so it’s only fitting that Jesus said this ambiguous teaching of both elements: physical truth and Spiritual Truth.
God instructed Noah what to build, even laid out a blueprint for the man, and His servant made a huge Ark! Noah did exactly what God told him to do out of faith - even though he was ridiculed and mocked by those outside of God. This great boat became their dwelling place for 40 days and 40 nights, and did not collapse.

Not only is this true in the physical existence we live in as God made it, but also true in Spiritual things about the Kingdom of God, so long as we have His Foundation - Jesus Christ, the Rock. We are His temple for a dwelling place as He planned from the beginning. It’s important we do as He says because He knows what is best for us, even if it doesn’t look like it when we face the situation at first. At second glance we see what we come out of with His mercy and grace. Joseph and Mary pregnant with Jesus are examples of listening to His Voice, so that Jesus Christ would grow up to become our Saviour and send the Holy Spirit to dwell within us to teach us all Truth.

How true it is also for a country or nation who is wholesome in Christ (Churchbride), they would have His Foundation laid and built upon His Way, Truth and Life. America and Canada is an example of how they built the country into what it used to be - built on the Foundation of Christ (keep in mind this is only an example). The reason why it is has been failing for so long is not because of the whether, but due to disbelief in Jesus Christ. If a country takes away the very Foundation it was built upon, it will fall greatly!
However, there still exists His people who are scattered all over the world, and His Saints (Christians) are in Spiritual unity in Christ. This is a Spiritual nation that will never fall.

Ultimately, there are 2 spiritual kingdoms that are at war. God’s Kingdom and Satan’s kingdom. Satan’s kingdom is prophesied to fall and fall greatly in Revelation. God has already defeated sin and death at the cross and when He rose again, giving a Way for the lost into His Kingdom through Jesus Christ. The way to Jesus Christ is death to self (repentance) and to live for Him; in which He imparts the Living Water (Holy Spirit) to those who repent and believe in Him.

Small Testimony
For a long time I thought I had built my house on His Foundation by simply saying that I believe in God. The problem was I didn’t know who He was. My definition of “belief” was wrong and that it’s actually a verb. To believe means to have faith in Christ while He teaches a new way of living. Not by doing whatever I wanted or saying things that were unclean, or not doing what He said. God had to lead me to a place (repentance) where I could truly be saved, and by making a painstakingly conscious decision (counting the cost) to either take my own life or allow God to tell and show me His Truth. Thankfully I chose the Way to the Foundation and died to myself for a new life with Christ. Ever since then my life has never been the same since. He’s always showing me knew things as I grow in relationship with Him. It is better to Listen to His Voice.
