  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Two are Better than One

Romans 12:15... Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

How do you respond when you see someone in pain, weeping or worrying? Here are some dumb things you may have heard before:

* Everyone goes thru hard times, just pull yourself together. Don't be a baby.

* Christians don't cry, show fear or pain, they are strong!

* Just keep busy, this too will pass.

* If you had more faith, you wouldn't let this get to you.

* Are you in control of the sin in your life?

* What happened to you? Did you get hit by a truck?

Why is it so hard to respond to someone who is weeping? So often society tells us to joke about or ignore pain. Why can't we be like Jesus, Who wept?

Have you ever had someone weep with you when you were weeping? Or rejoice with you when you were rejoicing? Doesn't it just seem better when things are shared - both good & bad?

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10... Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up.

___________
.
Lord please teach each of us to share both the good & the bad. Help us to be like Jesus who wept. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
