Does anyone here listen to throat singing by bands like Huun Huur Tu?
I'm mostly just wondering if there is anything evil about the type of singing.
My logic would say there is nothing wrong with it. Because overtones are simply a part of every sound in existence, and using a special technique the overtones can be isolated and brought to the forefront by the singer.
However I am slightly cautious about the whole thing, mostly just because the practice originated in Asia (however many things have their origin in Asia, good and bad).
Any thoughts? God given insight?
Personally the music does not make me feel bad like a band like Slipknot does (I don't listen to Slipknot, btw).
