Turkey, the PKK, and the US response

Seems Turkish military forces are bombing, shelling, and in some cases assaulting suspected PKK facilities in northern Iraq. Turkey has somewhere between 60,000 and 80,000 personnel along the border with Iraq.

What should the US and Iraq do in response to these acts?

For my part, I am astounded that the US and Iraq didn't take this opportunity to coordinate a trilateral strike against a labeled terrorist group.

Yes, Turkey is an ally. An important ally.

This is a very difficult situation.
Forced on all peace loving countires involved by radicals. In hopes of destroying the northern Iraqs peace.

Turkey must be able to defned itself against invaders.

Iraq must know that Turkey is acting in a limited capacity, only to attack the groups that have attacked them.

We must ensure that both sides act responsably against the aggressors.
