I mostly prefer the Biblical names, but it's okay if it doesn't happen, I guess.

I love that name for a girl, but I spell it Leila. My cat's name is Leila actually! But we've thought of naming an eventual daughter that too, provided we don't have the cat anymore!

I watch "A Baby Story" two or three times a week. Whenever it gets to the part when the baby is born, I always choke up. God sure did make women emotional about having children. Or even watching over women have children Does anyone else watch the babystory and analyze the different births (epidural/water birth/c-section) and gather names that they like? lol....

ETA: Watching the baby story is what made me convinced that I don't want to try the natural method!

Yes, I use to all the time, however I'm never home to watch it anymore it seems.. but I use to watch it everyday.. and I would analyse it too!

Hi!!! I have looked forever for this thread and here it is!!!

I have been TTC since Aug of 2004. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) and LUFS (Lutenized Unruptured Follicle Syndrome). I am on medication for both and have been since last October. DH and I have considered adopting, but are in no big hurry either.

So glad I found you all!!!

I watch it too, but Quebec's French version. I really like it! I've analyzed the different births and I'm the opposite of you, it makes me want to go natural! It seems like the women who get the epidural (those I've seen anyway) have a harder time pushing because they can't feel the contractions so much. And it's made me want to avoid a C-section if at all possible - I saw one this week and it's a major operation! :o

I'm a nanny, and while the baby sleeps, I fold laundry and watch A Baby Story...and Bringing Home Baby. I'm addicted!

Green Orchid, I guess I should say A Baby Story made me realize I want to try the natural way until I just can't take it anymore (or need some rest, whichever comes first) and then EPI PLEASE! lol....

Hi fellow Soul Cyster!!!

My PCOS diagnosis was what led to finding out about my husband - doctor wanted to put me on clomid before even starting TTC but wanted to test him before putting me on it. While we were figuring out what was causing his problem, I lost about 30 lbs and made a major lifestyle change to eat healthier (thank God for Weight Watchers), and that so far has kept me off medication or clomid, but if the next few AIs don't work, I might have to take something. The weight is also starting to creep back up, so I'm trying to make a new committment to WW - hoping to stay late next week to get the newbee lesson as a refresher.

PCOS is a syndrome, not a disease, so everyone's situation is different, but all my research showed healthier eating makes the biggest difference in the symptoms I have - unfortunately that won't be all that will help for others - mine is pretty mild comparatively. In the Soul Cysters website (biggest PCOS support site I know of), they push Atkins and low carb, but I don't agree with that.

Thanks for the response. I am actually a thin cyster and was checked for thyroid conditions and whatnot to no avail.

We haven't tried A/I and at this point are not considering it or IVF. DH does not have a problem so it's all just me.

Um...I'm about twelve pounds over a healthy weight for my age and height. Should I get checked for PCOS before I TTC? It seems like this condition is growing in numbers. I don't eat very healthy (average). My last pap and Obgyn appointment was in November. I was just going to go for it. Comments?

I am about 143 lbs over my recomended weight, I went on to have a very healthy pregnancy, I am not going to tell you not to do it, that is up to you.

Hi - Like I said, PCOS is a syndrome and everyone has different symptoms. One of my symptoms was being overweight - losing weight seemed to straighten out my cycles. I'm sorry if you thought I was assuming you were overweight, that wasn't my intention. My thyroid test was weird - the TSH was high, but a full thyroid panel was normal.

For everyone else, here's the "official" PCOS site. http://www.pcosupport.org/ Being overweight can be a symptom, but it's not the only symptom, and it's not a symptom you have to have. Doctors are weird about it. The only way to really diagnose is with an ultrasound, but not all doctors will do it. Many will just guage your symptoms and diagnose based on that (what happened to me), and many doctors still don't think it's a real condition.

I just posted this in the pregnancy forum as a question..b ut I need to share this with you guys!!

I have been ttc for awhile.. and I have irregular cycles.. but this morning for the fun of it, I decided to take a test... I bought one of the clear blue easy digital tests.. that say you can test 4 days earlier. Well I was in a hurry to get to work, so I took it real quick and it said not pregnant on the digital thing. So I didn't hink anything of it.. and went to work.. well about an hour ago.. I went to the restroom and found it.. and so I ejected teh strip from the digital thing.. and just looked at it. Well... i saw the one dark blue line.. but then their was a very very faint 2nd blue line. This really freaked me out, so I immidiately opened the 2nd one in the box to see if the lines are always there really faint.. and sure enough it was all white (the unused one).

Has anyone used a digital test before? especially this one? Did it do this too? Anyone had a similar experience with any hpt? Does it mean I'm pregnant or could be pregnant? I will test again later when I have to use the restroom. But please any help would be appreciated.

did you try googling it or maybe trying a different pregnancy test brand that has lines, too!!
