Trust in the Lord

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Prov. 3:5,6

Do you ever get frustrated with God because He gives so few details? I often feel that way. I reason that if God outlined a detailed plan for me to follow, I would be able to jump in, and perform and do it faster. Doesn't God value productivity? I've only been given one piece of the ‘puzzle’. I often feel like Abraham. God called out to him and said, "Pick up your family and your belongings, and leave for a place I will show you." He didn't provide much in the way of a roadmap, yet Abraham went. Many hundred years later, Jesus called out to Simon and Andrew while they were fishing and said, "Come follow me." They left everything and followed. I, who loves order and structure, probably would have said to Jesus, "Follow and do what, exactly?"
Many years ago, God spoke to my heart. "You are called to the ministry. I will give you each step at a time. Just stay close to me and you will be able to follow.” Many times I went in circles, feel totally lost, but today I can see what God was doing.

Today, I breathe this prayer. "These steps are Yours I will follow, no matter where You take me. Reveal Your plan for me step by step.” God rarely lets us see down the road. Rather, he wants us to stretch out our arms in dependence and faith. We're to live one day at a time

It is good that at least today you can see what God was doing. All too often we "see" with our eyes what we want to see, rather than with our hearts and spiritual eyes.

Too many Christians are caught up in the Frank Sinatra Syndrome, and when they stand before God, they will say like Frank: "I did it MY way"

I am glad that will not happen to you! Yopu are Spiritual enough to see correctly and that is what makes you a great leader here in the Forums.

I do make mistakes but God always leads me back, I guess its because I am willing to accept all things coming from God. If I take a wrong turn is it not because I am unwilling but because I dont know better.

Yes, I always ask God two questions 'why' and 'how' I don’t always get the answer on the why question before the task is completed. The ‘how question’ is answered many times.

Yes! Those are the questions of youth, and you are very young. When you get older it doesn't matter anymore.  At least not for me. I just trust Him to take care of it and if there's something I need to know, I figure He will tell me.

Guess, He doesn't figure I need to know much, cause He doesn't tell me much anymore.

I am older now and I still ask God 'how and why'. I discovered that God always answers me but not on the time that I wanted but He answers when I grown so much that I can handle the answer. Many times we are spiritually immature to get the answer on the minute we ask for.

See how God works? EVERYTHING in His time, and not ours. Perhaps you did not need it first time around in the same way it speaks to you now. Is God awesome or what!

Thanks for that altya. I really needed that. I was always trying to look at the destination while walking and not looking at where i'm stepping. That's probably how God wants us to take life at. One step at a time otherwise we'd stumble. Hey cool! I think i noticed something else about God!

Yes Altya this is perfect for me today.Patience, endurance is something you can learn about only by going through. Thanks for bringing it to my attention the word dependance. As now I understand the longer and harder the way. The more dependant God is teaching me to be on him.
