You know, a chat about how he's going to send a few million immigrants to...wherever. How the country to which they'll be sent might react. The repercusions. His tarriff proposals. The possibility of dumping NATO. Not giving Ukraine any support. Coming out of the Paris Accord - again. Tax cuts for the big end of town.

Feel free to adress some or all of those points and any others, and quote the guy as necessary. But please, no schoolyard arguments along the line of 'But sir, sir. The other guy started it.' No trite arguments that 'he can't do any worse'. How about we concentrate just on Trump and look at specific pros and cons.

The policies for Trump in 2025 is here Project 2025 Trump denies that he knows anything about the Project

The 2025 Presidential Transition Project paves the way for an effective conservative Administration based on four pillars: a policy agenda,

This is happening in real time....The Supreme Court is key for the rightists to implement their plan.
The Court will rise while the pillars all fall.- P. Gabriel 2024

The goal

The unapologetic agenda, according to Heritage Foundation president Kevin D. Roberts, is to “defeat the anti-American left – at home and abroad.”

It is no wonder Trump is running away from the Project 2025 because the Americans (all except MAGA) are taking a look, and not liking.

Trump has no policy agenda. The plan is for Trump to be supreme leader who spends major time on the golf course while the rightists draw their plans to take over the country. They will cast out the perceived enemies to start, then move on the perceived enemies on the left.

The rightist goal is to gut the government from the inside and turn it into an authoritarian heaven for the conservatives.

Conservatives aim to restructure U.S. government and replace it with Trump’s vision

With a nearly 1,000-page “Project 2025” handbook and an “army” of Americans, the idea is to have the civic infrastructure in place on Day One to commandeer, reshape and do away with what Republicans deride as the “deep state” bureaucracy, in part by firing as many as 50,000 federal workers.

“We need to flood the zone with conservatives,” said Paul Dans, director of the 2025 Presidential Transition Project and a former Trump administration official who speaks with historical flourish about the undertaking.

I don't think Trump liked reading anything longer than that which could be printed on an A4 sheet. I know Churchill requested precis accounts of complex matters. But I don't think that Donny would burn any midnight oil reading over 900 pages.

Hopefully someone can pick the bones out of that and we can discuss it.

Precisely why conservatives want him elected. He won't read the 900+ page manifesto and more importantly he is easily swayed by key words like power and money. I wish people who plan to put him in power read it.

Trump claims that even before he is inaugurated, he will have settled the war between Russia and Ukraine. That includes, he says, ending the “endless flow of American treasure to Ukraine” and asking European allies to reimburse the U.S. for the cost of rebuilding stockpiles.

So surrender Ukraine to Putin

Over the past 200 years, not only has the argument against tariffs and trade barriers won nearly universal agreement among economists but it has also proven itself in the real world, where we have seen free-trading nations prosper while protectionist countries fall behind.

America's most recent experiment with protectionism was a disaster for the working men and women of this country. When Congress passed the Smoot-Hawley tariff in 1930, we were told that it would protect America from foreign competition and save jobs in this country—the same line we hear today. The actual result was the Great Depression, the worst economic catastrophe in our history; one out of four Americans were thrown out of work.

--President and Republican Saint, Ronald Reagan

Trump's America First protectionism and tariff ideas are dumb and bad for America.

The countries we compete with use prisoners for labor, and steal designs to make knock offs. How do expect Americans to compete?

Can we quote from the Trump team on what his policies are?

Trump tried and failed to repeal the health care law signed by his predecessor, former President Barack Obama. Now, Trump says he does not want to repeal it but to improve it and make it cheaper. He has not released a specific plan.

During his White House term, Trump famously vowed to build a wall on the U.S. southern border, though he did not complete that goal while he was in office. His administration’s policy of separating immigrant families prompted international condemnation. He also made efforts to ban travelers from a group of Muslim-majority countries.

He is asking us to but into his ego. America First is just the pluralization of Me First.

Is this written down anywhere? I have no desire to watch a bunch of video clips just to find out Trump's policy positions. This isn't TikTok.
Oh it is worse than tik tok. It is them man himself saying what his plan is.

No flash cut edits.

I read them and disagree either with their intent or feasibility.
