Hope there's some relief for Chicago with these new apprenticeship programs because, they sure didn't receive much help from the last Administration.

Also, didn't the Department of Labor just have it's budget cut by 21%? Where is the money going to come from?

Not sure where the money is coming from?
I do believe that a lot of the money and or support for these apprenticeship programs is supposed to be coming from some large corporations?

Not sure if Manpower Training is still around? 50 years ago the government actually paid me a little bit to go to landscape construction class. That completion certificate helped me to eventually get a City job.

The goats and I are all in for our tax money being used to train people so as to get fair paying jobs.

FedEx and GM among companies which will train 3.8 million workers.

For the many kids that don't want to go to college this would be a good time to hook up for an apprenticeship program.

These type of apprenticeship programs work very good in Germany. In Alabama some of the manufacturing plants are copying their outline.

The federal agencies could cut their budgets by 50% and still do a better job than they have been, if red tape and corruption were rooted out, a lot of which is happening. That said, from the video clip, the emphasis here seems to be on private sector participation, with the government sponsoring the framework. It's hard to find a public event where Trump does not praise some company or individual who is doing the right thing for himself and the nation.

This apprenticeship program would seem to interleave beautifully with Trump's recent emphasis on giving ex-cons another chance to enter the workforce and find a productive life. But somehow according to some every word Trump breaths is racist, misogynist, etc. Uh huh.

That's true and I enjoy that for a change.

I am one who has owned several businesses during my lifetime and I will never forget when Obama said, "you did not build that business." What a fruitcake and coming from a guy who never started a business.
