Actually, I believe it would not be God that came down at all. He cannot deny himself (2 Tim. 2.13).

gosh i wish i had my bible with me. i went to a college group called Reality (check out there website at www.jesusisreality.org) and we learned about how when we receive the gift of salvation we come into a standing of God's grace and have peace with him. its Romans but i dont remember the chapter and verse off the top of my head.

so can you get left behind when Jesus comes back? yes you can. and those who will are those who, to keep it short, dont receive the gift of salvation and reject God.
