It has a religious feel to it, yes, but not a Christian feel to it, necessarily. For one, Christianity is not religion...it's truth. And second, the no-kill rule is a personal conviction that most people feel today anyways. I love the way Vash avoids it the majority of the time, though...ingenius. The humor is outrageously...well, humorous. It's definately an original idea. I cried when the Wolfwood died. That was truly sad.

Trigun is one of my faves. I have to feel sorry for Vash for all the trouble he's been through. Especially for his loss of Wolfwood.

I don't see it as religious persay. While the Japanese enjoy using Christian, or I should say Catholic themes (since it is the Catholic faith that is shown for the most part), in their animes...remember in Japan Christianity isn't well known. A majority of the time many storytellers use it in order to add mystery and mysticism into the tale. (Would be nice if the writers did study a little more deeper into what they were incorperating.)

Glad to see there are others that like Trigun. I'll have to agree with the saying japanese like to use the Christian theme, at times are mixed with other religions mainly Catholic. Since Christianity isn't known in Japan (other asian country) as it in other parts of the world its still cool to see that they would even take the time to include things that is common to us to their anime series. Trigun did have good sayings that even at times I would say lol.

Trigun is one of my favorites. It was my all time favorite until I saw Paranoia Agent and Haibane Remnei, which won me over. Trigun still stands out in my memory though, particulary the main character development, and the introduction. It was extremely well done, you only see a handful of animes out there that can really compare.
