My husband, I'ddie4him, LOVES the movies and the series. Consequently we watch them every time they are on. I like the third one the best. The butt blasters crack me up.

I have only seen them on cable....do you know if the actual movies (unedited) are much different?

I don't know about editing for cable. I would bet that on regular TV, SciFi for instance, they would bleep out the cuss words. And I'm sure they probably cut some parts out but it may vary from network to network.

LOL! The whole series and movies just crack me up (my favorite movie scene is in Burt's basement with his wife fighting off the graboids and they are pitching ammo and guns back and forth and blasting away until finally the elephant gun does the trick). But there are so many funny scenes in all the movies and even the series. Burt was my favorite character until the series. He's still my favorite although I also got to like W. D. Twitchell so much (all those wonderful one liners and the fact that he doesn't always act as you'd expect) that places him in a tie with Burt.

The series is off air and probably will never be on again unless SciFi runs a marathon for the fun of it. And they were doubly stubborn about putting out the series on DVD though we are ever hopeful.

This is one of those movie that everytime it comes on, I have to stop and watch it. Even though I have it on DVD, which I brought for $5.00, I just can't take my eyes off.

Yeah, I feel pretty much the same way, even to the point of doing a movie marathon now and then (I have all 4) or a series marathon. Burt Gummer is definitely "my hero" (aside from Jesus of course)...;)

Out of curiosity, are there any fans of either the Tremors movies or Tremors - The Series out there?? Yes, yes, I know it's not on anymore and probably there will be no more movies but I'd still like to know if any fans exist here on Christian Forums.

I never knew there was a Tremors - The series until now but as far as the movies - I own the first one. Thought is was pretty good and enjoyed the antics of Bacon and Ward thru out the movie. Their personalities made it fun to watch.

Never really could get into the the sequels. I did watch them but it just didnt do it for me.

Was thinkin the other day at work about might just watch Tremors this weekend. Now I see this thread - must be a sign!

Just so happens that Tremors 3 was on AMC tonite. I had to watch it. It is not bad, but the first one is my fav too. Bacon and Ward are too funny together!!

Of the three movies, I guess the first is my favorite but I love parts of all of them, and especially the series, where the characters are more developed.

tbr281 and Adiya...the series was very short lived and only on SciFi Channel. It had a small but very faithful following (even now) but unfortunately there were power plays over the rights to put it out on DVD. The originators of the concept (movies and series) are very cool (called Stampede Entertainment). They enjoyed making these movies and the show. but I think they sold the rights of the TV show to the people who put it on SciFi and those secondary SciFi folks flat out refused to do anything with it. I think they (SciFi) killed it on purpose for some bizarre reason. The ratings were low but definitely improving so there was no reason to kill the show without at least trying a second short season.

I love this movie but I didn't realize there was a series. Oh well. I have to watch it when I see it playing on the television. Now I might need to look for it on Netflix.

There were a total of 4 movies, the most recent being out on DVD about 2 years ago. the Series ran for almost a year back in 2003 but not many episodes aired unfortunately.

The Scifi has a history of killing off shows just as they start to build up a stable following. If it does not grap a hugh rating, or on comes with a built in audiance they always seem to come up with a reason to dump it. Of course, it does not help that there past programming director did not like sci-fi or anything that included material that she could not easily understand.

Getting back to the OP. I love all 4 films and the series. I do wish that they would release the series opn DVD. I understand that there are a couple of episodes that never made it to the air. I WANT to know what happened in them!

What I would really like to see is a 5th film that brings back characters from the film and series into one big final showdown in which they have to deal with all the versions of the Graboids
