Another one of my deep poems, lol [it's also in my blog]
Trees scars & me
If I was a tree, would u see me?
Or would u pass me by like I was just another tree?
If u look close u could see, see the gum that covers me.
The gum stands for disrespect & shame.
Disrespect from those who do not understand,
& shame from those who choose not to.
If I was a tree Id be a weeping willow.
A weeping willow welcomes the rain,
for when rain comes it washes away the spit from their gum.
But, the gum is not so easily removed, like scars.
While the moment u receive the scar will pass,
The appearance & therefore the memory of it will never fully fade.
Some scars u can see, but its the ones u cant that matter the most.
Sometimes u can tell that some have their share of scars.
Will u add to them or will u bring the rain?
Theres more to life than what u see, & more to people to.
