I heard from Pastor Arnold Murray, that to touch the opposite gender, is to partake of the tree of knowledge. And that Cain is the son of the devil, because Eve laid with Satan. And she laid with Adam right after, and conceived Abel. And this is kind of supported by, how the bible says sometimes, "He knew his wife, and she bore." And to lay with beasts or the same gender, is confusion.
So the first commandment, might of been really, don't have sex.
What do you guys think of this?
its not in the text so it would be irresponsible to think that is what actually happened.
here is the text where God initially tells them not to eat...
Genesis 2:16-17
The LORD God commanded the man, saying, "From any tree of the garden you may eat freely;but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
here is where Adam and Eve disobey God...
Genesis 3:6
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.
and later when God confronts them...
Genesis 3:11-13
And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?" The man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate." Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
and here is where Cain was born...
Genesis 4:1
Now
the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD."
(btw - Hebrew for "man" is "adam" so this verse can be interchanged with man/adam)
I don't see how eating the fruit here means having sex with Satan or how Cain was a product of that. If God said you can eat freely from any of the trees except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil than what is that supposed to have meant? Did it mean Adam and Even could have sex with whomever they wanted except for Satan? Or is each tree in the garden suppose to be a different thing and the one in the middle represented sex? The whole thing is all speculation and nothing directly in the text. When you replace the tree with sex Genesis 3:6 is humorous when Eve sees the tree is desirable and a delight to her eyes but that hardly proves anything.
