  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hiya Renew my Mind,

How beautiful!

My favourites that Jesus raised me on are the following'

The Beautitudes

God's Spirit is in my Heart, He has called me and set me apart, this is what I have to do, what I have to do...

He sent me to give the Good News to the poor, tell prisoners that they are not prisoners no more, tell Blind people that they can see, and set the downtrodden free and Go tell Everyone...the news that the Kingdom of God has come, Go tell everyone the news that God's Kingdom has come

Don't worry what you have to say, don't worry because on that day,
God's Spirit will speak to your heart, will speak to your heart.

Chorus

Don't carry a load on your back (I need to refresh my memory on the remaining versus sorry RMM).

(there are other versus Renew my Mind).

One Bread One Body 'One God of all' version.

How Great Thou Art

Come Sing a Song of Joy

The Our Father (in all versions)now if every Soul on Earth sang The Our Father twice daily, then the World (God's world) would be a more loving place!

Some lyrics have flown through from Our Lady Mary on The Hail Mary sung!

and many more RMM.

Thank you for sharing Amazing Grace (brings tears always hearing this Hymn),

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and all of your Family.

Keep singing in God's joy!

traditional hymns:
Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Beneath the Cross of Jesus
Nothing but the Blood of Jesus
My Hope is Built on Nothing Less

newer ones:
How Deep the Father's Love For Us
In Christ Alone

I'm sure there are more.

I'm not a big hymn person - I prefer a more contemporary style of worship - but I do like the above.....

2 - Be Still, My Soul
3 - Come, Follow Me
4 - Have I Done Any Good?
