Howdy,

Just wondering who here listens to Tool? Being a Christian im obviously not to fond of some of their songs (Sober, Opaite, Eulogy, Judith with APC) generally I dont even listen to the first two albums and skip most of the tracks on Aenima but Maynards lyrics have become much more enlightened with Lateralus (aside from Ticks and Leeches) My favorites:

Forty-Six and Two - love the way he combined spiritual evolution with human evolution

H

Track #1 - One of the best commentaries on American culture ive ever read...er, heard.

I listen to Tool. They're pretty good. Urg...nickelback...im getting sick of them. But then, every song on the charts here is played exhaustively til everyone stops buying the singles cos they are annoying. I only listen to X fm now...every other radio station annoys me.

I used to listen to mostly rock but aside from Tool, APC, Pink Floyd and Pearl Jam im really not into it very much anymore. Other than that I like celtic and eastern music. I have a cd of various religous chants, liturgies etc from around the world that been into for a while. I still listen to classical alot...Beethoven and Vivaldi especially.

I am more of an APC fan myself. The new cd is a masterpeice

It took me awhile but ive really grown to love it, especially 'Blue' and 'The Outsider'.

Tool seems to be going down hill, I haated Lateralus (sp?)

oh yah, I am a big Tool and A Perfect Cirle fan. And I don't listen to the radio either unless I want to bash my head repeatedly against a wall every time they play a played out song (which is every song!). I just download my little heart out. Eventually the music industry is going to probably lock me up and fine me for pirating or whatever they are doing to people these days.
My favorite Tool song is probably "H" and "Lateralus" and for APC it has to be
"3 Libras"

Tool is awesome! i bought lateralus a couple months ago. i was surprised/dissapointed to read danny carey's (drummer) bio on their website. he's really into some dark stuff.
but their music is amazing.
i only have lateralus. i want apc's new cd. i wish their other cd's weren't so bad... (like, parental advisories, and christ bashing songs,) because their music is amazing.

i love maynard's voice

Yeah...I play Aenima really loud when the traffic sucks really bad... and sometimes when it doesn't. I love maynard- he such a talented guy. 46 + 2 was a great topic for lyrical interpretation back in college as are a lot of Tool songs.
