Too many dreams about the same thing.

I keep having dreams about my youngest daughter. I keep losing her in my dream and I never find her.

I have had many of the same type of dreams. Last night my daughter was at a party with her best friend. They hold hands everywhere in real life and in this dream they were holding hands too. I lost them both and I went looking for them. I went into the long grass and found out that the grasses were swamps. I fell deep into one while looking for them but managed to hold on to a branch and eventually the branch threw me in the air and I landed on the grass verge. I looked around and realised that the girls could of fallen into the swamps. I woke up immediately out of fear.
The girls are both 4 years old.

Why am I having dreams where my daughter is lost all the time?

Maybe it means you should witness to your daughter? You're never too young to start hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ...I was led to pray the prayer of salvation at age 5.

You should pray about this and ask God to show you what it means, and what to do about it.

i believe you are being warned that your daughter is in danger, it's just that simple. pray with her, teach her to pray and give it all priority. read the Bible to her and do everything you can to instill the truth of the Gospel into her heart and mind.

I don't think these dreams are a warning from God. I think they are either anxiety dreams or a spirit of fear coming against you.
If it was God, He wouldn't just keep giving you dream after dream that this is going to happen without an answer. Especially if the circumstances are different every time.
I don't believe your daughter is in danger, but for you peace of mind, if you have this dream again, renounce and rebuke it in Jesus name and ask the Lord for protection over your daughter.

I agree! God somtime warn us way ahead of time when trouble is near. Pray for God to put a sheild of protection around the girls, In Jesus Name.

I don't believe God would change the circumstances of how your daughter disappears every time. I know this isn't the first such dream you've had.
There may be a spiritual threat of getting lost, but God is well capable of handling that in prayer.

I agree that it just sounds like you're doing what every mother does- fear for her child. There's a huge instinct in all of us to protect our own.
As for the witnessing thing, that is to your discretion. I believe that younger than 13 is too young for hard-core witnessing and prayers of salvation, even though some may not agree with me. A child doesn't have a good idea of how to accept or deny that they believe in something.

I'm sure she'll be fine, just keep loving and protecting her.

I have also heard that a person in a dream can represent a side of you -- in this case, one that you want to protect. See if something is changing in your life -- like empty nest syndrome, or a realization that the kids are getting older.

Think about the ages you're seeing her at, and what that might mean.

I do think it's a possibility that God is warning you, or an evil spirit is taunting you, but I would start with applying internal emotions.

My daughter is the age that she is right now. She is 4 and thats how I am seeing her in the dreams.

Do you think her spirit wants to run away from her. I dont know why I am saying this, but she has witnessed alot of physical abuse aimed at me. She witnessed her father hitting me when she was born and up until she was 2 and a half years.

I dont like to hear that she may be in danger. I dwell on things and will probably be on the look out for something that may be trying to harm her.

My child does pray with me and she prays when she is hurt and before she goes to school. She even reminds me to pray.

Maybe God has something for her but He wants me to see it first. Im just a little worried now, especially after the comments where she might be in danger.

Jacqui, when I was having dreams like these about my daughter I was frightened too. But it wasn't her physical life that was in danger, it was her spiritual life. Do all you can to make sure she doesn't turn away from the word of God. She is still young, so don't push it too much, but make sure no one comes into her life that will persuade her away from God.

I had another dream last night that my daughter didnt come home from school (she was still only 4 and dont know why I didnt pick her up like I normally do) but I said to my husband. "It is 12:30 late at night and Arela hasnt come home" He said " the cat died, its just the same as that" well that really freaked me out and I woke up suddenly.

Its like my husband saying, its ok because the cat died, what difference does it make if Arela has.

These dreams are scaring me.

PS.......my cat hasnt died by the way in reality.

When I used to get a lot of nightmares, I would keep a little ornament by my bed, its shaped like an open bible and has the Lord's prayer on it. Very old fashioned, but you can usually get them in charity shops! I would read it every night before I went to sleep and I knew it was there if I woke up scared (bad memory, scared I couldn't remember the words). But it happened that I would also be able to say the prayer during a dream, so bringing it to an end.
You could try something like this. I think this is a dream that you have to fight spiritually. Be pro-active!

Being proactive is really the only way you will be able to feel comfortable, because you won't know whether she's in danger or not, and you'll keep waiting for something bad to happen.

While you're being proactive, think about some things:

You were in an unusual situation (not that unusual, sadly) where you needed to protect her even more. You weren't completely able to protect her from seeing things, which is a form of danger in itself.

You felt like her father didn't care enough to give her a safe environment, so you might not completely feel secure that your current husband will. Logically, maybe, but you'd still be jumpy.

You probably didn't get apologies and restitution, but the opposite. It probably bit a chunk out of your funds, your work plans, your peace of mind, confidence, trust, your time, her day care, your reputation. The abuse devoured both of you together.

It was not resolved by any efforts on his part (assumed), and you probably have a lot of loose ends proving the victimization to friends and family and the court system.

You need a town crier -- this guy was a jerk, and my daughter was in danger! And a couple more hugs.

Hi Jacqui, before you go to bed tonight, ask God to show you in your night hours His thoughts and future for Arela. You can ask Him too to show you the source of the dreams you've already had.​

Whatever the dreams are about, we know that God is infinitely more powerful to protect Arela, than our enemy is to bring harm to her. And so are your prayers for her. You can't be with her every moment of the day, but God is!​

Father God I thank you because you've promised that we have nothing to fear when we walk and trust in You. I ask you to protect Arela, to hide her under your wings and command your angels to protect her, even as you promised. I pray that Your plans and purposes for Arela's life come to pass. I pray too for Jacqui, that You will heal the wounds from her past and that her trust will be in You alone. Father, You have not given us a spirit of fear and I pray that You will take away the terrors of the night and bring her Your perfect perfect peace. And let her not fear things which other parents may fear in this day and age... because her trust is in You. I ask those things in the mighty Name of all names, the Name of Jesus. Amen.​
