  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Did anyone read this latest statement from Cruise?
http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2006-04-21-cruise_x.htm?csp=27
"It's indescribable," Cruise tells USA Today. "You hold this newborn, and you realize you've got responsibilities like you've never had before."

Never before? What about Isabella (13) and Connor (11), his other two kids?

I agree that Tom is a few crayons short of a box, but when were those two children adopted? I agree that he's pretty much ignoring them, but unless they were placed in Tom's arms shortly after their own birth he may have a point. Midnight feedings might be a whole new responsibility for him...

I wonder how many people won't be going to see MI3 just because of Cruise's stupid baby/scientology antics.

Probably the same amount of people who didn't go to see the Batman Begins movie because Katie Holmes is attached to Cruise

He adopted his other children when they were past infancy, for some adults holding a newborn baby, a piece of their bodies changes their lives. It does somthing to them, they suddenly feel more responsible and aware of what's really important in life. Now i have no doubt he probably loves his other children just as much, but he's never had a baby that was actually his, he just got the "daddy feeling" again. God bless

I'm neutral on Cruise, meaning his antics are dumb but if I was interested in a movie he was in I'd go see it anyway, personally I don't expect celebrities to meet any particular standard of behavior any different than anyone else, so while Cruise doesn't appear to be someone I'd be interested in spending any personal time with (that whole anti- anti-depression meds tirade was a tad over the top) he's just another human being

And.. to be fair, each child to me was an entirely new experience, and new excitement and joy, and expressing that doesn't mean you didn't feel it before.

As for his older kids, I don't know if he's ignoring them or continuing not to put them on display for public viewing.

Tom Cruise does not eat placentas!
lol...well, you have to admit, he did say he was gonna eat his baby's placenta...but then he said he was just joking...either way, it makes you wonder.
It is considered a delicacy in certain countries and is even customary there...and as Tom stated, it is chock full of nutrients...:yum: :D

I can't deny his acting is amazing at times but he's so off the wall right now I too don't want to see his mug on my screen. He needs to back out of the publc eye for awhile.

I agree I have no desire to see him right now. Even if the movie is incredible.

Not that this has anything to do with your main op..but :)..he's an ex Catholic, was in a seminary for awhile and considered the Priesthood. As a Catholic here,I say group hug Tom:groupray:
I pray for him but he is what he is. I can't help but like him,he's cute.He just has charisma..
His acting I like. Born on the 4th of July is a film I consider powerful and bravo to him for making it. His media persona is not so good but Tom Cruise has made his money, seems now he is looking for something more.Should we be scared? Hmmm..a cult leader? So many accusations..I think some over react to his comments. His main problem is he may be eccentric..
Oh,and I too roll my eyes, say no to his newest film, scoff and laugh but in the end I have to say he is a great actor.Yes,as much as I say no I will probably see MI3. ALONE.
