Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Those of us that have spent our lives desperately trying to serve Our Lord and continually find ourselves failing, may share a common problem. We are trying to see the whole picture with only the small piece God has given us.

It has taking me 15 years of failures for me to finally come to a place where God could reveal this to me. I know now that I can't move without my brothers and sisters. I can't move because His body is not moving. His body will not move until our united wills come into agreement with His perfect Will.

The Body of Christ will not move in one direction until we stop trying to move in our own direction.

Will you join with me as I join with you, so we may see the true power of the glorious unified Body of Christ, and watch together as He stretches forth His hand to heal our land.

Your brother,
Seeker

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:3-5 (KJV)

10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Romans 12:10 (KJV)

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Romans 12:16 (KJV)

Oh! So beautiful! Too bad so many Christians are unwilling to do this when I teach about unity as one in Christ! Some of them even get mad at me!

Dear Sister,

How true!

"Go forth and divide and conquer", shouts satan as his hord marches out to battle. This is truly why so many detest the idea, even though it is so clearly commanded by Our Lord throughout His entire Word.

I truly cherish my Sisters in the Lord. The heart of Jesus seems to rest upon them so easily. Where would The Body of Christ be without you?

To all my Sisters: Thank you for your prayers, from the depths of my heart. Your prayers are winning battles! Please pray for your brothers, especially those called to lead. Pray that the HEART of Christ would once again beat within them, pray that their walls would crumble, and that they would come together, support one another in one accord that His Will might be accomplished on Earth as it is in Heaven. And if I could be so bold, may I personally petition your prayers. The Lord has given me a difficult task. Would you be so kind to pray for strength and clarity, I am finding the path at times overwhelming.

Your Brother in Christ,
Seeker

 Now there's a truism Seeker.
True humility and submission to God. (It's always been the answer!!)
We must remember that it's not about our success, but His.
Brother Z - I like how you work your net.

Well, Seeker ... I'm happy to give the support. You are right in pointing out that unity is a key issue facing the church today. It's not only a denominational issue, but more a problem between us as individuals. It's very easy for each of us to become overwhelmed by the daily problems we each face and lose sight of the underlying truths which continually act upon and direct our lives.
Then again, we can easily be distracted by our earthly relationships with others and in the process lose sight of the fact that our interpersonal relationships with each other can never exceed the level with which we have relationship with God.
In other words, if we have a substandard relationship with our God, how can we truly hope to have a pure, honest, or close relationship with one another. This is why faith and trust are such key elements surrounding the basic concept of unity. How can we have unity with each other without faith and trust in each other AND how can we hope to have true faith and trust in each other, if we don't first have it in our relationship with God and thereby see the reflection of that "God-like" faith in each other. It's all interwoven.
Regretfully, I don't have time at the moment to clarify more, but below I have listed a preliminary investigation into the definition of faith. Hopefully, some of you may find it useful.
Praise God for His blessings upon all those who are faithful.

Dear Seeker,
I hope I'm not imposing too freely upon your thread, but your quotes from Romans got the little gray cells all excited. Here's the investigation I mentioned above.

~Faith: Can It Be Defined? ~

What is faith?
I decided to begin my search with two likely spots. The Dictionary* and the Bible.*
My search found 245 references to faith in the NKJV of the Bible. All these can be found in the New
Testament with the exception of two:
(Deut. 32:20 and Habakkuk 2:4). Along with Hab. 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11 and Hebrews 10:38;
all reiterate that “.. the just shall live by faith.
The dictionary defined faith as:
1. confidence or trust
2. belief in something
3. loyalty or fidelity
4. (In Christian Theology) the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.

To flesh things out I continued with faithful:
1. thorough in performance of duty
2. true to one’s word or promises
3. loyal, trusted, reliable, believed
4. adhering or true to fact, accurate
5. devoted, true, constant.

So by definition one could have faith in oneself, a person, a job, an idea, in God or in a complete fantasy.

Because of the large number of references in the Bible, I decided to continue with it to better understand faith. Here’s some of what I found:
the just live by faith
God has faith
we have a measure of faith
we can be full of faith or great in faith
be weak in faith, have little or no faith
have access through faith
seek by faith
stand, continue or be steadfast by faith
walk by faith
abide in faith or turn from faith
we can possess faith.
Jesus saw their faith
things can be according to your faith
Your faith can make you well
We are to have faith in God
one’s faith can save them.
one can find faith
have our faith increased
accomplishments through faith
accomplishments through faith in His name
purify our hearts by faith
be sanctified by faith
justified by faith
have solitary or mutual faith
have things revealed by faith
have faith accounted for as righteousness
faith can be made void
have a word of faith
faith comes by hearing
what ever is not from faith is sin
have hope by faith
confidence through faith
take the shield of faith
love with faith and have joy of faith
established in faith
be nourished by words of faith
reject, deny or stray from faith
Fight the good fight of faith
have genuine, sincere or false faith
have our faith overthrown
testing of faith produces patience
receive promises by faith
bless by faith
be obedient by faith
be strong by faith
overcome obstacles and problems by faith
subdue kingdoms and enemies by faith
obtain a good testimony through faith.
And the list goes on and it’s quite a bit to chew through so we’ll have to dig into it more in future issues.
One thing seems clear, faith has power beyond what we often think.

Hope it's useful as a spring board for others.

"Do not be deceived; God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. He who sows things of the flesh, from the flesh shall reap corruption; he who sows things of the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap life everlasting.
Let us not be weary in welldoing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who belong to the household of faith.
Galatians 6:7~10  (from the Aramaic translation)

In other words ... Together ... expressing our patient FAITH!

May all who hear the Word of God receive it into their Spirits, Soul and the very flesh of their bones for His righteous Truth persists through eternity.
