Today's reading, Wisdom 11

Did anyone else really get struck by the beauty of today's OT and Gospel readings? How well they intertwine? Very fitting as a prelude to All Saints Day.

"Today salvation has come to this house because this man too is a descendant of Abraham. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost."

"...You love all things that are and loathe nothing that you have made; for what you hated, you would not have fashioned. And how could a thing remain, unless you willed it; or be preserved, had it not been called forth by you? But you spare all things, because they are yours, O LORD and lover of souls, for your imperishable spirit is in all things!"

Wow...

I was moved by the reading too. The part that struck me was “ He looks past our sins so that we may repent.”

I also thought the reading from Wisdom was beautiful- I thought about putting it up an my fridge- it is a great reminder of the infinite, unfathomable love and mercy of God....

I loved the reading. And we had the good luck to have a great sermon. ((seeing that we have different priests and many guest priest, that does vary a bit))
