With the state of todays music outside of the secular scene it seems that not too much is available for new release that doesn't have a heap of material not suitable for the ears of my soul. However, much too my relief my friend from Universal recently gave me a copy of the new album by Andrea Bocelli and it's all that I've been listening too recently. you should start listening to Dave Matthews Band. i don't know anything about andrea bocelli, but i definatley think you could use some dave.

I used to think the same thing about the state of popular music today. The thing to remember though is that what you hear on the radio is probably < 2% of all the music out there waiting to be heard. There's no such thing as a single "secular music scene"; regardless of what your tastes are, I'm sure that there are plenty of people on these boards who could recommend something new that you'll probably dig. I've been turned on to several artists I didn't even know existed since I've been here at CF...

Well there's your problem. Music 'outside of the secular scene', by which I presume you mean the 'christian' music scene, is generally garbage.

there's a lot of good christian music... but yeah, most of the good stuff is secular.

yeh todays music generally sux. ESPECIALLY HIP HOP. bring bac old school i say, bands like jet and the darkness sound old sckool though
