Well, actually he's not like other people in one important way - as a public figure, he has less protection against the media saying horrible, even untrue things about him, less protection but not no protection. Libel laws still apply - but the stories have to be horrible and untrue at the same time and the reporter/publication/media outlet has to know that it was untrue, and has to have put some effort into checking.Trump attacks freedom of the press. “With me, they’re not protected, because I’m not like other people..."
How is that a change from what our libel law already is?
