Toby is so irreverant, that he is good. He has an *in your face* attitude to the liberal media, public, etc. about how America can be good, but isn't allowed to be.

Personally - I have never seen his videos, nor heard him on stage, nor do I have his CD's. The only comments I can make about him is from hearing on the radio air-waves, and from what I have heard there, is ok. It's not the best, but it is ok.

I like Toby, and I think he gets better with each album. Heck, I even liked him before he bacame huge, when Should'a Been a Cowboy was his big hit. He does have one song that I object to though, and that's What Happens Here in Mexico, as it makes it sound like it was ok that the guy was cheating.

He performed for the troops in Iraq. That's a good reason for me to buy his new CD.

Apparently Toby Keith is still on the USO tour. CBS aired the Country Music Awards this month and they included a satellite view of Toby entertaining the troops in Iraq. I didn't recognize the song he was singing, but there were soldiers in the audience holding up signs (signs saying hello to their families, signs saying "American Soldier", "Alaska", "Ohio", etc.). I was glad I watched because I actually saw two of my army relatives from Louisiana holding up signs saying hello to their parents and children.

Well, I'm in Los Angeles County....surrounded by so many liberals. There's a group of people living next door to me that are flying the flag upside-down. After the 2004 election, I opened my windows and turned up the volume on my stereo to make sure they heard The Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing "Hail to the Chief" and I followed it up with Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" plus Lee Greenwood's "The Defenders"

Oh, I absolutely adore Toby! He's fantastic. He's got some songs that are fun that you just want to get up and dance to and then he's got his serious ones. His patriotism gets an A+ from me. Heck, any patriotic cowboy makes me happy! I especially love how he supports the troops so much, it's nice to see somebody in pop media who's willing to take such a bold stand for our armed forces. Plus, he's controversial, and I love controversia.

Have any of you heard "The Taliban Song"? I love listening to that song, especially when he sings "Until the big US jets came flyin' in one night" (or something like that) and then the crowd just goes insane!

He gets props from me because of all the times that he went to Iraq.
