Okay, but slow down. I haven't had a chance to read everything in detail yet. I was only making the point that you do think it's another sex.Even if it is, you missed an important detail in the article @Kylie brought up. It said the "most common", it wasn't claiming an exhaustive list.
I’m just saying that I’m still learning the ropes.
People who refuse to learn from their mistakes are often cause for concern.
It occurs to me that when I checked "male" on my profile information, nobody in charge asked for any kind of proof or verification... They took me at my word, and treated me accordingly.
Wouldn't it be nice if the rest of society was as progressive in this regard as CF?
It's a recently made-up concept adopted by the LGBTQ activist community to further their goals.
Again, didn't say that, 3rd gender is the term you're thinking of with regards to historically verifiable cultural ideas where it wasn't just man and woman.
Do they feel the same way about declaring yourself a teen and accessing the teens area?
Since I haven't done that, I don't know.
Why don't you try it and find out for us?
Can't access the area without lying about my age.
I guess even here on CF biological reality matters.
I bookmarked it myself, but I had the common sense to notice that qualifier in the headlineOkay, but slow down. I haven't had a chance to read everything in detail yet. I was only making the point that you do think it's another sex.
And now, it’s possible I did know that I wasn’t posting my thread to the (christians only) section. But, I thought being on a christian forum meant that only (or mainly) professing christians were interested in being on the forum. Essentially I thought I was communicating to that group regardless, the only difference is that the topic wasn’t strictly theological in nature. Once I posted my comment, I didn’t entirely know that it was going to be like a chess match with my opponents. But again, I’m not entirely sure, as I thought at one point that I did post this under the (Christian only), but maybe I was just forgetful and I wish I had (only because I wasn’t prepared to have a real debate). I’m not concluding that I want a moderator to change where it goes. I’m just saying that I’m still learning the ropes.
If you say so...
It's got nothing to do with what I say.....the word isn't that old. It used to refer to biological sex....and was substituted for that term to avoid confusion between the noun (sex) and verb (sex). It was used this way almost exclusively until the mid to late 1900s. I think we all know the dr/pedo responsible for that.
Well, chronological reality, anyway.
And who says it's lying?
According to some states, life begins at conception, so all of us just had nine months added to our ages...
if the state can make us older with the stroke of a pen,
surely it can make us younger, too?
You'll have the same birthday though....because it's a birth- day. It's not a conception day.
Do you think Supreme Court Justice Brown suddenly knows what a woman is? Or do you imagine that she abstained from offering an opinion on Roe v Wade?
Yeah, it's almost like the decision might've actually been different if Justice Brown was on the bench rather than the present more right leaning courtTrue but irrelevant. The state can decide when your life begins, and if they have capital punishment, they can decide when it ends.
How long did you think they were going to ignore what happens in the middle?
I think Justice Brown has made it clear from her actions that a "woman" is... whatever she wants to be. I don't see how any words from her or anyone else can improve on that.
And by the time she gets on the bench, Roe v Wade will be moot.
“However, Riley’s brain didn’t develop as male during gestation and was mapped as female.”
I’m pretty sure they’re just talking about gender dysphoria. The linked source took me to ABC News. This is crappy. I don’t mean to be rude, but there is no medical documentation on this. The parents sat down with Barbra Walters, so I guess that made it bonafide. Joshua Kennon should not be writing articles on biology! You go to the about page and his credentials are in business and finance. @Kylie
If you say so...
You're not getting me. Joshua Kennon claimed this boy had the brain of a female. Gender dysphoria is not your physical brain being the opposite sex, it is about psychological stress. This is just wrong.
There is indeed medical documentation for gender dysphoria. Gender dysphoria - Diagnosis and treatment - Mayo Clinic
