It occurs to me that when I checked "male" on my profile information, nobody in charge asked for any kind of proof or verification... They took me at my word, and treated me accordingly.

Wouldn't it be nice if the rest of society was as progressive in this regard as CF?

Okay, but slow down. I haven't had a chance to read everything in detail yet. I was only making the point that you do think it's another sex.

And now, it’s possible I did know that I wasn’t posting my thread to the (christians only) section. But, I thought being on a christian forum meant that only (or mainly) professing christians were interested in being on the forum. Essentially I thought I was communicating to that group regardless, the only difference is that the topic wasn’t strictly theological in nature. Once I posted my comment, I didn’t entirely know that it was going to be like a chess match with my opponents. But again, I’m not entirely sure, as I thought at one point that I did post this under the (Christian only), but maybe I was just forgetful and I wish I had (only because I wasn’t prepared to have a real debate). I’m not concluding that I want a moderator to change where it goes. I’m just saying that I’m still learning the ropes.

That's fair. And welcome to CF! I hope that the discussion in this thread hasn't been too off-putting for you, and I hope that you'll stick around and have many more conversations with us.

Even in the Christians-only sections of CF, you'll find some disagreement on LGBTQ-related topics, because these are topics that Christians in general disagree about. The rules of CF restrict what we can talk about regarding gender and sexuality, but even so, you'll see some robust discussions from a variety of viewpoints.

We're talking about people who can't define "woman". If that's the intellectual capacity of the community, they can't legitimately complain about someone's definition of gender.

If there are certain cultures that referenced a 3rd gender....that's still not a "gender spectrum".

A lot of this "historical 3rd gender" stuff derives from Rousseau and his contemporary arguments about the "natural state of man" and the subsequent liberal fetishization of tribal cultures.

Well, chronological reality, anyway.

And who says it's lying? According to some states, life begins at conception, so all of us just had nine months added to our ages... if the state can make us older with the stroke of a pen, surely it can make us younger, too?

I bookmarked it myself, but I had the common sense to notice that qualifier in the headline

So what if I do? It's a point on a spectrum, it's not measured in the way you seem to think where we're claiming it's equally represented.

You're probably accurate on that, there are likely demographically more Christians of various stripes on these forums.

That doesn't mean a faithful Christian couldn't equally call you out on this and I'm pretty sure some of the commenters would fall under that.

It was used this way almost exclusively until the mid to late 1900s. I think we all know the dr/pedo responsible for that.

How long did you think they were going to ignore what happens in the middle?

I think Justice Brown has made it clear from her actions that a "woman" is... whatever she wants to be. I don't see how any words from her or anyone else can improve on that.

And by the time she gets on the bench, Roe v Wade will be moot.

I’m pretty sure they’re just talking about gender dysphoria. The linked source took me to ABC News. This is crappy. I don’t mean to be rude, but there is no medical documentation on this. The parents sat down with Barbra Walters, so I guess that made it bonafide. Joshua Kennon should not be writing articles on biology! You go to the about page and his credentials are in business and finance. @Kylie

You're not getting me. Joshua Kennon claimed this boy had the brain of a female. Gender dysphoria is not your physical brain being the opposite sex, it is about psychological stress.
