To hicky er not to hicky, that is the question.

Playin round wit my wife before I walked out the door yeserday I managed to leave a massive hicky on er, now I admit I do semi-sorta-kinda-at least think bout tryin to make em non-visible buuuuuuuut hehe well that one's not an she went to town today, had to hand out checks to my empolyees wives today hehe an I know she's gotta go to the bank hehe sorry sweetie.

I think it's kinda sad in a way, the town we do most of our buisness wit is small enuff most folks don't even ask anymore hehe it's sorta second nature for er to walk in somewheres an have my marks left on er.

So, what'd ya'll think? Do ya leave em? Do ya try? Or are ya the type that thinks that's jes the most horrible thin a body could do to another? Personnaly, it's sorta like er rings on er fingers It's my lil mark tellin the world she's all mine an the res of ya folks can jes go on dreamin hehe

As a side note, I couldn't ever do em til I met my wife, she taught me how sooooooo way I figure, she's got no one to blame but ersef right? hehehe

I have no problem with physical affection...even physical affection in public (*cough* ) BUT I have a major problem with hickies, lol.

One of my teenage boyfriends traumatized me. We were all standing around at the lake one hot summer night (my group of friends and I) and the discussion went to hickies...and I made the comment with lots of teenage feminist flare that "guys that leave visible hickies on girls are just like stray dogs peeing on a tree to mark their territory" (I never liked hickies, can you tell??). Well of course, immature redneck that he was, my boyfriend grabbed me, held me (I could not get out of his grip), and proceeded to leave two HUGE hickies, one on each side of my neck. Of course everyone was laughing, thought it was really funny, haha...I was sort of laughing outside, but inside I was STEAMING. And then I had to go home and listen to the lecture my Mama gave me (I was 17, I think) about how people will assume that I was a certain type of girl and what type of gentleman would do such a thing and, "Don't you know hickies cause cancer?!?!"

Anyway, yeah, I HATE hickies. Always have, always will. My hubby has never left one on any of the public areas of my body and it's a pretty safe bet he never will, lol. You compared hickies to rings, A2J?? Okay, I'll take the ring, please.

Well, at this point in time, it is illegal for me to leave a hickie on my husband.LOL ....Actually, not illegal, but he can get into trouble if he shows up at work with one. I have never been much for them because I was in the military as well and got very sensitive about those types of things. But, hey, if you don't have a problem with them, enjoy.

Between Seebs and HJ, there would seem to be another question...Are they supposed to hidden or obvious when clothed. I agree with Seebs, there is something wrong when we get all embarassed (sp) with public displays, but then it can go too far, blah, blah, blah. But then between A2J and HJ, the question is begged, why give it, if it is not visible for all to see? Am I being too philosophical about one of the joys of being young (in mind?)? Sorry.

LOL, I probably wouldn't mind as much had it not been for that silly boy long, long ago.

But, I've had other boys give them to me without me realizing that they were marking me (my dating days in college and such) and I just always felt self conscious about having them be visible. I guess to get right down to it, it made me feel sort of trashy, like people were judging me and what I'd been doing. I never did feel comfortable sporting them for all the world to see. I guess the difference is that when they're private, just between you and your other, it still feels a little trashy, but in a 'dirty little secret' kind of way.

Also, and this is NOT a judgement, lol, I always considered it kind of juvenile. LOL, I feel a little weird being 28 and talking about hickies...but, yeah, I think that's the difference. At least for me...I certainly don't judge others who like being all marked up.

Did any of that make a bit of sense?

Well that's the thin isn't it? We're married an it's no secret my wife an I fool around AND!! we even have sex! hehe so it's no big deal, but I can see whatchya mean, when your datin an what not, to have sumthin like that can be viewed as a definte sign that your fiddle round wit someone hehe.

As far as it bein juvenile, you betchya it is!! That's what keeps us young My wife an I play like lil kids wit each other... sorta helps... I'ma gonna hit the big 3 0 this year an boy howdy am I ever feelin it hehe sides, I never played much as a kid, was far to serious so we play now, an yeah in a way.. It isn't that a bruise is really that sexual, but this particular type of bruise certainly is. *wiggles brows* I think that hickies are just fine, great even. However, I wonder if it isn't a mite immodest to be wearing them out where everyone else can see. Now, I'm not saying that "accidents" don't happen from time to time, and it's good for married folks to get carried away with each other. But, is this something that it is fine to make a point of doing, knowing that this mark of sexual intimacy is on display? Hmm... I'm leaning toward 'no'. I'm still thinking on it though...
