I have the worst sexual attraction known to man. I also get pleasure from others pain. I don't want to be like this but only to avoid hell not because I want to be different. I am a sociopath. How can I be saved.

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Like all of us you are a fallible human being. That is why we need a savior. Jesus loves us unconditionally and we benefit from accepting ourselves (soul) unconditionally with all our failures. That doesnt mean that we cannot work on improving, but it does mean that we should not put ourselves down. When we put ourselves down we reject God's love. And how do you think that helps us?

Take the word of God and counter the evil desires that you have. One at a time. You might want to fast too. Remember, you're saved by grace. Ask Jesus to cleanse your heart and to make it right before Him. He will give you more of Himself so that impurities can be removed. Don't beat yourself up. Just surrender and let him have His way.

Just continue to pray hun. Im not too familiar with sociopath and what that disorder brings but I know God loves us unconditionally and that he can help you through what your going through just like he helped me. Dont give up...Love ya and prayng for you

You can be saved just like anyone else can. God states His way to be saved in Romans 3:21-27; and it applies just as much to you as it does to anyone else. Put your faith alone in Jesus Christ alone to save you. He died for everything that is wrong with you on the cross of Calvary.
