Namaste,

then we'd suggest that you confine yourself to the Christians Only area. You'll probably be much happier there than here.

I find it difficult to believe that you are serious. However, if you DO mean the words you have written then you shame your faith and you shame Christ.
Are you a Christian - I think not! I am and she does not shame my faith or Christ. He was a model of righteous anger!

She does have a point. All Christians new to the site have the same question. I know I did. I now accept that some non-Christians are interested in learning about Christianity, some like to debate (but will never accept that they can lose the debate), some come to be annoying and some come to try to defile Christians.

Please don't misunderstand me. I never said people who believe differently than I do annoy me. In fact, I value and love diversity. I am completely happy that non christians are here. In fact, up until a few weeks ago, I was a pagan myself. I enjoy the spice of life. However, Godprincess seemed 'annoyed' in her original posting and it was unfair to characterize her as being afraid because that did not come across. I was merely pointing out the fact that it didn't have to come down to fear.

It really ticks me off that Christians still don't see their beliefs as beliefs. You really don't get it do you, jenjenjeroo? We don't care about "God's word", to me he's just a character of your mind, and is not real so I could care less about anything that you say is his word. You can't toss it around like a fact and expect to debate us successfully with it. It only shows a weakness. In other words, it's not truth to us and Christ died but not for anything like that to us. I hope that you will mature enough to live with the fact that we are happy believing what we do and that your beliefs are not facts or truth to us and never will weigh that way.

However, I'm not going to attack you personally no matter how annoying people like you get. I'm going to try to be a nice as I can while still sticking up for what I believe.

I agree with vajradhara, I would suggest sticking to the christians only part of the site.

And again, I find it interesting and ironic that many of the evil atheist infidels over at II are kinder to others than some christians.

First, nothing has been proved wrong in my eyes. As a matter of fact the only thing proved in my eyes is Christianity is believing in something false. Thats it. I don't think the truth is here, and I certainly dont believe the truth is in the book (WRITTEN BY PEOPLE) you call God's word.

I think the truth is you want to believe you are more than just your stay on earth. I think you are afraid of the fact that possibly when you die you'll just be burried with no great trip to a magical mythical place called heaven. So, far I havent been told anytihng that could possibly convince me of god. (a book isnt good enough..)

I personally wouldn't generalize and say that all Christians think that their beliefs are absolute truths and everything else is wrong. I've met many Christians who are open-minded. There are some on this board who maybe aren't so open-minded, but so what? There are athiests like that too, and pagans, and other religions...the opinions and actions of a couple of Christians don't necessarily represent Christianity.

What am I doing here? Well...I don't need to explain myself to you, now do I?

I won't generalize with your religion, and I'd expect the same respect from you. Not all non-Christians are here to aggrivate you (I admit, there are a few aggrivating non-Christians and Christians running around here). If you don't like to associate with non-Christians, maybe you can go to the Christian only forum, or make your own forum.

Have a good day.

You just said it. This forum is open to ALL, regardless of belief. We are as welcome here as you would be in a non-chrisitan site, so don't try to act like Alpha dog and tell us we shouldnt be here. We have a right to be here, I respect your beliefs and im you sure respect mine. By the By, its this typical attitude that makes christians look bad. Dont do it please!

If this site and the Christians are so dumb, why are you here?

As Gabriel said, they fear Christ is who he said he was. Some do care about hearing the truth, but IMO most non-Christians are too irrational or dishonest to read the NT without bias, make up their minds and answer Lewis' trilemma. Jesus was a lunatic, a liar or the Christ in truth, and the apostles deserve the same decision.

Nope, not really.

Some do care about hearing the truth,
There is no evidence that your religion is the truth and arbitrarily and arrogantly proclaiming it to be so doesn't help.

but IMO most non-Christians are too irrational or dishonest to read the NT without bias, make up their minds and answer Lewis' trilemma.
Of course that's ridiculous. I can just as easily say that Christians are too irrational or dishonest to read the NT without bias or evaluate their beliefs without bias.

Jesus was a lunatic, a liar or the Christ in truth, and the apostles deserve the same decision.

Rad
It's easy to answer, but obviously the answer would be offensive to Christains, the message would be moderated, and it wouldn't really matter whether anyone answered it or not. If you've ever been to an atheist board, you'd know that people have discussed this.

Generalizations are generally a bad thing.
I would recomend against them.

I do not "fear christ is who he said he was." Do you fear odin was who he said he was?
I actually have more problem reading the OT, but thats just me.

Thats because the Trilemma is a logical fallacy. It makes the assumption that there are only three answers.
