This is not the "apostate church." The churches that support and accept gay people as we are are the progressive churches, the churches that act in the tradition of the Social Gospel. These churches are leading the way in working for social justice. Many of the more conservative churches also do good work for social justice, but they get sidetracked by trying to change gay people into heterosexuals, for no good reason and without success. Better for all Christians to work together to solve real social problems, like reducing poverty, ending the war, integrating and improving the public schools, and providing health care for all.

The growing apostasy, folks.

Same-sex relationships harm no one,

False.

and thay are a positive thing for society.

False.

Gay families raise children, and provide wonderful homes in many cases for adopted children.

False.

Most gay people are good, decent citizens who believe in marriage and stable families, and who want to get married and create stable families.

The desire for family is good, but decency is absent.

Many gay people are avid supporters of churches that accept us for who we are.

Of course. Apostatic churches. Jesus doesn't go to them.

The tide is turning. Attitudes are changing among people across America and in other nations, most of whom are Christians.

The tide is turning because of the sinful coindition of the world. People are spiritually starving, and without Christ.

We hang onto truth, not interpretation. what you do is re-interpret to suit your fanciful lifestyle. Fables.

Yes, the world is changing--it is becoming more and more like the cesspool that is prophesied about in Scripture. The world is seeing moral relativism by the truckload...and in this very website.

Yes, let's all join your church which never goes out and tells people about salvation in Jesus Christ. It might detract from all the social causes you are bound to.

That is not the kind of Church that glorifies Him. He hates it. Sacrificing the message of the Cross to on the pyre of social justice as you perceive it, is apostasy in action!

You have nothing more than a mere social club, with a bit of political action--it's sickening.

All reading of any text is interpretation. You indeed interpret the Bible, and you mistake your particular beliefs for "truth." They are just your beliefs, no more or less true than anyone else's beliefs.

If you find my church "sickening," then you don't have to go to my church. That's religious freedom.

I make no mistake, for the Lord God has given the truth plainly for all--even a child can understand it.

Jesus Christ lives inside me in the form of His Holy Spirit. That is His promise to all who believe on His name. His Spirit communes with mine. There is no mistaking His voice, my dear. The tri=ouble comes when one supplants His voice with one's own, or listens to the voice of the enemy--Satan.

God is not hard to know. Man makes it hard.

YES JESUS CHRIST LOVES YOU...ENOUGH TO WANT TO CHANGE YOU...THAT GOES OUT TO HETEROSEXUALS AS WELL SIN IS SIN AND IF WE ARE WATERING DOWN THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS TO SOME STATEMENT "I LOVE YOU" THEN WE ARE WASTING OUR TIME AS CHRISTIANS "For GOD so loved the world that He gave"-John 3:16
GOD's love destroyed the devil, so we can be free from homosexual as well as heterosexual addictions.

Au contraire.

I am here to witness to the liberating power of Christ.

We are called to be who we are, as he created us.

Being gay is not sin. Protest it all you want, but you will always and forever be deceived.
LET GOD SPEAK FOR HIMSELF:
ROMANS 1:27:

That whole argument in the verse is based upon the faulty notion that gays and lesbians have abandoned a natural use (their natural instincts) to be with a person of the same sex. Phusis and Phusikos are the Greek words in this Bible text, which mean the person's natural instinct, and natural disposition. Gays and lesbians do not go against their natural instincts, to be with someone of the same sex.

Right now the important thing is finding yourself...

Speaking of my church, we are off to a church event. Have a wonderful evening, everyone.

And yes it is a Church...a social club doesnt go out and preach Jesus's message of doing good for others...
Jesus helped the poor, the needy, the dying...that's what Churches do...they arent just meant for the rich people dressed to the nines on Sunday morning who live perfect lives in $400 000 homes with $50 000+ SUV's

Yes, you are right!

However OP doesn't believe in spreading the Gospel, or in the Bible. So... what kind of church would that be then?

OP as in Original Poster or OhioProf?

From my understanding the OP as in Original Poster is confused and on a journey which I wish him luck in finding...God is with him whether he knows it or not on the journey

OP OhioProf from my understanding is a Unitarian(there are different types of Unitarians).
Christian Unitarians believe in and do follow Christ's path...
She sounds like a Christian Unitarian (she can speak for herself Im sure), however nonetheless...I would say it doesnt matter, but that is MO and MOO
