Tinitus and spiritual awakening?

I have recently been having tinnitus during and after reading the Bible, and in fact much of the time as I am submerging myself in Bible studies almost constantly.
I have only ever experienced tinitus after coming out of a noisy place before, but my home and my life is exceptionally quiet, so it's strange this is happening now.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything else like this when praying or studying the Bible? I also have an ache on my shoulders......

I have also had my prayers answered!
I have been in an artistic wildernesses for years now, and on Friday, whilst giving thanks for all the wonderful things God has done for me, I prayed that he would send me guidance about how to find my way out of this artistic desert I have been in.
On Saturday morning I received a phone call from an art society I used to belong to but had lost touch with, saying they had pulled my name out of a hat to be awarded the featured artist of the month!!!
I just wanted to post this as encouragement to others, there are surely things we do not fully understand at play in this and other dimensions.

Hi, I have brief tinnitus when I lay on my bed. It is probably because I have played the piano for years and I had listened to earphone music on the bus for a few years when i was younger.

Tinnitus is a condition not easily remedied, physicians will tell you. I have near ones who have lived with it. Some people think it is part of stress one is experiencing, so if that is a problem for one, dealing with stress might be a need. Find some peace in prayer and much patience in your life, and learning to be at peace in all things by KNOWING God is ever present with one who receives His "...beloved Son" --the Lord Jesus (John 14) . Make Him your best Friend and face life in communion with Him! I find that very helpful when I am in stress (though I don't have the 'tinnitus' trouble at least). Look up always, and I will pray for you.

Thank you, although my tinnitus isn't intrusive, it's a very high pitched and not very loud sound and varies slightly, it could be that I have only just started noticing it.

Yes, it is not pleasant! My wife has had it, and it seems less of a trouble lately. I knew of an airline pilot that had it and he had to quit flying. It can be much hard to handle, so I think one can only try to rise above and beyond it ---though I would keep looking to a ENT physician for thoughts on new ways to live with it; and pray to our God much, friend, for He cares; though we have flesh with us always in this world.

I get it now and then, usually if I'm tired and possibly a bit stressed. It's more noticeable when it's quiet since there is no other sound to "mask" it. One of the methods some people use to mask tinnitus is to turn on a radio very softly so that it's just above the threshold of hearing.

I don't think it's got anything to do with your Bible study, unless you're doing too much study without a break, and getting tired and stressed as a result.
