I'll edit this first post with updates.

I'm in the middle of updating forum software. This is my first priority before the other changes are implemented. This transition period will be difficult but I hope to get at least the basics of Stage 1 done before the weekend is over.

Okay, CF is going to have a few things fundamentally changed in terms of its functionality. I've decided to do Stage 2, the technology update, go concurrent with some of Stage 1, basically because they are both linked.

At the end of all this, I hope that we will end up with a more vibrant, self-sustaining community.

About to go the bed - will install a formal wiki part to the site tomorrow - this way we can start working on the general forum rules - all members can have a say in it.

Also, we'll be phasing out the private staff forums so we will be opening up a public staff forum for the staff to discuss things. Over the next day or so we will start closing up the private staff forums. This whole transition will take some time. For what it's worth, it was not an easy decision but something that I believe that God wants me to do. CF is my burden and carry it I will.

Okay... brought CF offline...

CF still offline - had to troubleshoot some server issues and database issues. Seems like it's all fixed.

Will move on to more substantive things.

Basically, I advise members to read my posts in the Public All Staff Team forums for more detail rather than duplicating it here.

I hope a member or staff can start a Wiki on all the recent changes at CF.

Make use of the Wiki feature that is now present in most Forum Categories (some categories have to share) - this is where you develop forum-specific rules.

Obviously there will be a core set of rules - I will start these off now.
