Recently I have been observing the news in Mexico concerning the fight the Mexican police have with the drug lords. Only tonight I saw on TV where policemen were targeted and killed.

Parts of Mexico is close to the US border.

What I don't understand is why is there such a demand for drugs in the USA? There could be no drug industry if there was not a demand.

Along with the drug industry is the porn industry. It seems as though the USA is heading the way of ancient Rome, decaying right from within.

America is a great nation...BUT the country needs serious prayer.
I know no country is immune from these evils.

I am wondering if the members of this forum can take some time during the month of February to seriously fast and pray on behalf of this nation. I live in the Caribbean but there are many people from here who have made the USA their home. When I see posts focussing on whether EG White is true prophet, whether to eat meat and all the other non salvation issues, I believe we all can do our part in encouraging each other as we see these trying and difficult days ahead of us.

To understand why the USA is bringing judgement upon herself just as Israel did, I would encourage everyone here to read 'The Harbinger' and see the prophesy of Isaiah 9:10 repeated in a way that will shock you.

Why am I not surprised by your comment? Do you see a need for prayer and fasting? I am not shocked by anything that takes place in this world, not even your comment. Christ said that by this shall all men know that you are my disciple if you have love. Don't you cry and sigh at the wretchedness in your country. Do you pray for the leaders of your nation? I do for mine.
You seem to just read other people's books and just quote them. Prayer is POWER. I think you need to read the book of Jonah.

Harsh comments.. I am interested in prophesy and where we are in relation to it. That was the reason for my recommendation, I thought you, or others might be enlightened by the actions of a nation causing it's resulting judgement.

I pray for the leadership within our church, I pray for the people of the world that they may come to know Jesus in a personal way, I pray that Jesus come quickly, Im pray for my friends and family but I don't tend to pray for the direction the world has/is taking... I know that the leaders of all governments are there by God's decree but I guess I believe we are imminently headed for the end of all things and I am trying to prepare myself spiritually for that.

You said you are interested in prophesy...the word is prophecy. Prophesy is a verb....an action word. You seem only content in praying for your family, the church members and others that they may come to know Christ. Not bad at all. But wouldn't others included leaders.... It seems as though Jonah had the same attitude that you are exhibiting here.
I think I have said enough.

Personally I have to agree with you, in regard to Daniel that is... and of course when I have a look at current world events we better get cracking...

However, I am not so sure as to how its gonna happen, the SDA sunday law ideology somehow doesnt fit IMHO, but if its gonna happen then I will know that there was something to SDA and probably EGW, but its very unlikely to me...

I think its gonna be about that microchip, maybe...

we'll see...
